To see where the earliest inhabitants of Aberystwyth lived, visit Pendinas hillfort, just to the south of today’s harbour. It overlooks the town and most of Cardigan Bay. Or why not just relax and enjoy the view at a table on Aberystwyth promenade, or dangle your feet over the sea wall as you enjoy a bit of street food or an ice cream as you watch the world go by. For the more adventurous types, there is Bwlch Nant yr Arian Forest Visitor Centre, it is well-known for its long-established tradition of daily feeding of red kites and there is a range of waymarked trails for walkers, mountain bikers and runners, one place not to be missed.
