"The villa is amazing. All amenities included, except WiFi. There is an odd request for £50 for this after we booked. The WiFi doesn’t reach upstairs. The pool and gardens are regularly maintained and are beautiful. The view is stunning. It’s an out of the way location, so peaceful but you need a car. Many beaches a short drive away. The villa is well managed and any requests were dealt with immediately. Definitely recommend a stay here for a peaceful holiday."

"The property is away from everything but still close enough to get to things easily. Loved the quiet of the place, even with other people on the property you hardly noticed them. "My husband & I and two other couples stayed at Penelope Home for 5 nights. The home is located about halfway between the 2 airports on Crete. (About an hour each direction) We liked the central location and enjoyed hikes, caves, the beach and other activities. The suggestions for restaurants and bakeries by our host were spot on. The host also handled our transfers which was very much appreciated."

"Very friendly welcome by the owner, with welcome local products and home cooked meal. Villa equipped with all we needed and very spacious for the two of us. Pool and garden well maintained. Garden / pool partially overlooked by nabouring villa, but otherwise very private and the other villa was not occupied the week we were there. Many welcoming local shops and taverners in the area, but not within walking distance. Also many local beaches and other places to visit within a 30 minuit drive."

"Overall loved the place. There were a few niggles like the garden lights being intentionally turned off detracting from the atmosphere, penny-pinching in the extreme. Not being able to leave the washing machine or dishwasher on when going out because the electricity fob was locked to the door key, very patronising, especially considering the money paid for rental.the location was excellent and the outside ameneties great. Did think more effort could be put into a welcome basket maybe salt pepper...
