Like staying at grandma's house!

style home built in 1942 is just like visiting grandma's house. Quaint
antiques, combined with two overstuffed couches, large TVs, central
air, and a retro feel kitchen with modern appliances will make your
visit comfortable and comforting. And, the house is all yours, so you
can watch TV way past your bedtime. ;)
The home is less than a 30 minute drive from downtown St. Louis with a
variety of terrific museums, world class Zoo, and the Missouri
Botanical Garden (a can't miss). It is also a quick drive up the
beautiful Great River Road to scenic Grafton, with spectacular views
along the route and several waterfront restaurants to enjoy. Just a
bit further is Marquette State Park.
And golf courses, there are a half dozen golf course a mere 20 min drive from the house.
And, don't forget the town where you are staying! Alton has it's own
wonderful museums, an art gallery, several parks, a charming historic
district, locally owned restaurants, funky shops, and a Saturday
morning Farmer's Market that can't be beat! If you time your stay
right, there are historical and haunted tours through town. Did you
know Alton was a stop on the Underground Railroad?
