„We enjoyed 4 relaxed days in this beautiful, old-fashioned cottage. It is very secluded and quiet. The panoramic window towards the garden quickly became our favourite place! The cottage is small, but easily large enough for two people and a dog, as in our case. We would love to come back!“

„Had a great time. Lovely village and area. Great for Walking. Cottage is clean and has everything you need. Livingroom is pretty dark and the street outside the bedroom does get noisy in the morning. Carpark ist excellent and everything you might need is in walking distance. Very friendly and helpful owner! Thank you very much!“

„We enjoyed staying in the apartment and it has a stunning view over the lake. Overall we had a great stay but there were teething troubles including finding and switching on the WiFi, hooking up the telly and making it actually work, switching on the heating and warming the apartment. On the plus side, once warm it was very comfortable...“

„Amazing, the photos do not do it justice, lovely cosy cottage a home from home and fully equipped. Great location, short walk to village incl pubs and chippy, also access to walks (which pass through livestick fields so dogs on leads). Grizedale forest was a short drive away with really good (long & short) walks, better for dogs off leads. “

„this review relates to the property as well as our legs from hiking up the hill it was based on - appropriately called "The Struggle". The house is adequate in that it has most of what you need ( could do with more towels) however its pretty tired, old and dusty and needs some TLC.“

„Die Wohnung liegt in einer Art Feriendorf, das überwiegend aus kleinen Ferienhäusern besteht und sich mit genügend Freiraum über einem kleinen Berg erstreckt. „We had a get together with family who haven’t seen each other in several years. The house was perfect for us as it had plenty of space, lots of bedrooms/bathrooms, making it a very comfortable stay even with a large group. The communication with the property manager was great! She was responsive and very nice! I would recommend this house! “

„We had an absolutely fabulous stay at the cedars. Too much to write to will do a bullet point review. Pros - location is so wonderful. Amazing to have Windermere as a back garden! - size of property and rooms perfect. Loads of space to relax and enjoy inside.
