5 Schlafzimmer, 2 Bäder, 15 Kabinen im Wald eingerichtet, um alle Ihre Bedürfnisse zu erfüllen. Gemütliches Wohnzimmer mit Gaskamin. Voll ausgestattete Küche, Waschmaschine und Trockner. Hauptschlafzimmer mit Kingsize-Bett, zwei Einzelbetten und Kabel-TV. 2 Queen-Schlafzimmer und Queen-Bett mit zwei Einzelbetten an der Spitze. Keller mit Tischfußball, Queen Schlafsofa und Kabel-TV. Unbegrenztes Highspeed-Internet mit Zugang zu Ruko, Netflix. Großer Rasengarten mit Feuerstelle im Freien, Whirlpool für 7 Personen, Volleyballnetz und Spielset. Der Hof wird von einem anderen Vermieter geteilt, aber der Mieter ist sehr ruhig. Wir wohnen vor Ort in einer freistehenden Einheit oder sind telefonisch zu erreichen. Gegenüber vom schönen Strandsee gibt es Nordic Ski / Walking Mountainbike-Strecken. Der Eagle River liegt in der Nähe vieler großartiger Sehenswürdigkeiten in Alaska. Symphony Lakes, Eagle River Nature Center, Eklutna Lake, Talkeetna und die Bergstadt Girdwood sind eine atemberaubende 1-stündige Autofahrt entfernt! 35 Minuten Fahrt vom internationalen Flughafen Anchorage, Kabel-TV und Internet zur Verfügung gestellt.

18 came to Alaska

18 of my family were able to come with us to Alaska for my son's wedding, which was at a church just a few miles away. Everyone had a bed! Master bedroom/bath was perfect for my dad who is 96yr. The combination of queen beds and twin beds was great for the family with little kids and also so the cousins could share a room. Two houses was nice for when the active kids wanted to be in the back house. Both the kids and the parents enjoyed the hot tub. Excellent kitchen space for preparing our meals and storing groceries, as well as a nice fridge. Eagle River is a central location to spend a day in Anchorage and another day in Palmer. We went on a local hike and also got some snow, which was unexpected. Enough parking for our 4 rental vehicles plus my son's car. The indoor stairs were very much a concern. My fall resulted in falling clear to the bottom. Please get a builder to remodel the stairs, removing the diagonal step so there is a flat landing. I'm sure the current design would not pass code.

Great for big families

We had a family gathering of 14. We had one member with allergies and several flights to accommodate and host was gracious, kind and accommating to our needs. Teens love the fusbol table. Adults enjoyed the card games. Only feedback to suggest is having potholders for cooking.Every bed was comfortable and everyone had a great time.

3 generations

We stayed here for 4 nights and this was an ideal property for our multigenerational family gathering. We occupied the chalet and the cabin. The large living room in the chalet and the attached, spacious deck were perfect gathering places for the family. We were lucky to have great weather and few bugs, so we spent lots of time outdoors. The propane fire pit and hot tub added to the deck appeal. The chalet and cabin are older units that have been well-maintained. They were perfect for our informal, family group. Communications with the host were timely and clear. We would love to stay here again. Thanks!

Fantastic Family Vacation Home!

This property was warm and cozy and comfortably slept 8 adults. Everything we needed was included along with some extras! The hot tub and back porch was a bonus and lots of fun was had playing fooz ball in the basement. Close to the highway (without hearing or feeling it) into Anchorage and surrounding areas and easy access to XC ski trails. Super chill and relaxing holiday vacation!

Absolutely wonderful

The beautiful cabin and property was perfect for our family of 10! We had the best time together! Plenty of things to do at the cabin and plenty of space! I can’t say enough good things about our time there!! Aprille the owner was awesome and so easy to work with. We made lifelong memories and all my kids are ready to go back! A group of families and friends spent some very high quality time at the cabin/chalet. So much room for entertainment as a group yet we found quite time at time in our own very spacious rooms. Anchorage Stay

This is a little bit of a difficult review to write but short term rentals only work if there is honest and valuable feedback for both guests and owners. Hopefully it will serve as both. First, the positives. This cabin is absolutely charming. The layout is great for large families and there are plenty of amenities. The hot tub, firepit, games, space, all of it is there. If you want to build a snowman there's a snowman kit. If you want to snow shoe it's there. The love that is poured into the home is definitely felt and it's got fabulous energy. The living room layout is great and the ambience with the fireplace burning, a movie on and family piled up on the couches is priceless. You can tell the owners really want their guests to feel welcome and at home and they have succeeded in this. Communication and check in was smooth and flawless and always appreciated as a first time visitor to an unknown area. The beds were comfortable and the water was hot! The chalet in the back is great for those that want more privacy or just to have more space. There were even Christmas decorations! All wonderful! Now for the part that can be improved. The house was quite dirty and needs a serious deep clean. Top to bottom, from vents to carpets, it is long overdue for a really good scrubbing. We all were taken aback by it given the price point and cleaning fees and there wasn't one area of the home that didn't need serious attention. We are not neat freaks by any stretch and realize this is a home and not a hotel but this was excessive. The second issue is the deferred maintenance on the home really needs to be addressed. Not one shower door closed properly, showerheads were leaking, floor was cracked in one shower, paint was on the wood ceiling and adjoining walls from DIY painting, dishwasher doesn't work well, cabinets are worn and many crooked, carpet needs to be replaced, etc. It's time to show this sweet home the love it deserves. Because it really is a sweet home but the price point to far too high to have these two pretty major issues not dealt with. We are shocked the previous reviews don't mention these items as they are long standing and not a one off. Likely because the hosts are so great and the house is so charming it is overlooked but we would have appreciated the information given the price point. We hope this helps manage expectations for future guests and is something constructive the owners can use to improve their guests experience.

What a wonderful place to stay in Eagle River!

Wow - what a wonderful time was had by all who travelled up to Eagle River for the Thanksgiving holiday! The Lodge and the Chalet were perfect for our large group, who travelled from the lower 48 (Georgia, to be specific) to spend time with our new grandson as well as the new mommy and daddy. Both sets of grandparents, one great-grandparent, an uncle, and a long-time family friend all stayed in the Lodge. There were plenty of bedrooms so that we were all very comfortable in the Lodge, while the new family mostly spent the night in the Chalet. The new mom and dad were also able to hand over the baby to one of several eager grandparents, so we would take turns watching him while the new parents got some much needed rest. There is lots of space in both places, so even with the number of people we had, there were plenty of spaces to retreat and we never felt close to crowded or in each others way. The location itself was great! We went for a nice winter walk across the street in the woods (only discovering one bear track) and went down to the north Eagle River exit if we wanted to find a place to eat or go grocery shopping. For a couple of days, we ranged out as tourists, making it down to the Nature Center in Portage and then up to Palmer. We also went up to the Baldy Mountain trail head for sunrise on Thanksgiving and had a wonderful view of Denali some 130 miles to the northwest. Finally, we also prepared our Thanksgiving feast in the kitchen in the Lodge. There was everything we needed from crock pots, to spices, to lots of pans and bowls. There was plenty of room on the dining table in the Lodge for our large party. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! You have a great place and did a wonderful job taking care of us and making sure we had everything we needed!

Wonderful Property

My family loved everything about this property. The location was great for day trips and hiking. The home was spacious, and everyone could both spread out and be together. The log cabin made it feel like a real Alaska adventure. My husband said he has never slept better! The host was responsive and helpful. We would highly recommend this home for a stay of any length.

Perfect Family Stay

We had a wonderful stay here in the cabin for our first Alaska Family vacation. The accommodations were so perfect and the beds were super comfy. There were 10 of us so we were able to cook for our whole family, relax on the back deck with the fire and even enjoyed the hot tub a couple nights. The Young adults stayed in the Chalet separately and had there own bathroom/shower/kitchen and was also able to wash their clothes so we all werent cramped in the big house fighting for bathrooms. Aprille was super nice and was able to be reached easily if we needed anything. Nice, roomy and cozy cabin was perfect!! Location was good, grocery stores were close by and local restaurants and only 20 mins from Anchorage.

Mother’s Day Getaway

Dear Aprille, Our stay was absolutely amazing! It was fully stocked with everything we needed from kid’s playground, kids toys and games to all the seasoning and cookware for amazing meals. Thank you so much for the complimentary bottle of wine! The hot tub was amazing and used lots. The other cabin was very helpful and so cozy and cute. The main cabin was very elegant. The whole house was so spacious that even with a full house of family and friends, we were never really in each other’s face lol. Love the fire pit near the hot tub! Love the game room downstairs! Especially loved the beds! Love the laundry chute! The best part of our whole stay was the privacy that we never have in the city and the well water! Wished there was a sauna lol. There’s nothing that you can do to improve for future guests, it’s absolutely perfect!!

The property is beautiful and accommodated our large group well. We enjoyed the firepit and jacuzzi. Great property and Aprille was always responsive to any of questions, she checked in and was very kind. The inside of the house was very clean upon arrival. Beautiful property.
