Welcome to your paradise on the lake. Privacy, beauty and relaxation, all the best Costa Rica has to offer. Our stunning lake view retreat will make you never want to leave. Come, relax with loved ones in this beautiful, lake view home, nestled on the hillside, with a full, panoramic view of Lake Arenal and it’s rolling green hills. The home is custom built and every aspect will leave you inspired.
The home is just minutes from town, Arenal, where you can go shopping with the locals, book an excursion on the lake (wind surfing, swimming or boat rides), or grab a bite from one of the many local sodas. A 45 minute jungle drive will take you to La Fortuna, where you can do any number of excursions: jungle hikes to waterfalls, ATVs, zip lining, butterfly conservatory, waterfall rappelling, hot springs, water parks, cocoa and chocolate plantation, sloth conservatory, rafting, night clubs, restaurants and bars.
So many things to do not far away, you’ll have trouble deciding what to choose, if you want to leave the house at all!! Come, see for yourself. Life is short. Live Pura Vida!

Excellent stay in Arenal
Overall this property was amazing. It had a beautiful view in a safe area. We were greeted each morning by parrots circling the neighborhood. The pool was refreshing and surrounded by gorgeous native flora. The hot tub is available and was relaxing. There are a couple of things that I think guests should take note of to better prepare for their stay. First, there is a working washer and dryer with laundry detergent available which will allow for more flexible packing. There is no need to overpack. There is a fully operational kitchen with working appliances. So it would be easy to prepare meals "at home." The hot water in the showers is powered electrically and there was one time that the breaker had to be reset. There is NO central air conditioning but the temperature was mild. I suggest opening the side doors and windows as they all have insect screens. It makes for a nice cross breeze and the house cools quickly in the evenings. The only thing that surprised me was the 4th bed. I was anticipating the bed being located inside one of the bedrooms, however it was upstairs in a loft-type area. There are no electrical plugs in that area to charge phones and devices. In addition to the wonderful property, the hosts were always available to answer any question, pre-heat the hot tub for us and were overall super accommodating.

Amazing Property - Everything We Wanted
This place was absolutely amazing. The views - just wow! We awoke every morning to the sounds of the various birds in the area singing their songs. The amenities were great inside and out and everything worked properly and had all the modern touches. The pool was enjoyed by all and the hot tub was a nice option (you need to message the host to turn on the hot tub heater early in the day if you want to use it that evening). We spent a lot of time away from the house to do all the fun things we had available in the area within an hour drive. The roads are very windy in the area just due to the geography, but I tend to like that kind of driving and it was very scenic, especially when driving along the lakeshore. Nuevo Arenal is a cool little town where you can find great restaurants and shops. HIGHLY recommend checking out Gingerbread restaurant that's right down the street from this property - some of the best food I've ever had. I would definitely choose this property again. Beautiful place, great views!
We loved the house layout, cleanliness, views, pool and hot tub! Spacious and well appointed, immaculate landscaping and attention to detail. We had to drive from the Liberia airport at night and it is a long, winding and narrow road. It is also the same driving to Arenal volcano and LaFortuna, 45-50 minutes each way on hilly, winding and narrow roads. That said, we would stay there again, no question!

Amazing!
This property is even better than the pictures! From the moment we unlocked the door, we enjoyed our stay. The view is amazing, its so clean, close to town for great food (go to Gingerbread), and everything you need is there. Kristi is very responsive to any questions or issues. Only bummer was hot tub didn't get turned on on our last night after we requested it to be but that was just a small thing in a fantastic stay!

We had an amazing time! The house is beautiful, the pictures really don’t do it justice. The view is stunning, so peaceful overlooking the lake. We loved the balcony from the upper 2 bedrooms. There is lovely landscaping in the yard, and many birds to listen to and watch. The hot tub was so nice after a day of hiking. The house is well equipped for all of your needs, and communication was quick and easy. Highly recommend staying here!

Lovely house and location - driving can be exhausting
The house was amazing overlooking Lake Arenal. The surrounding area was nice, not too touristy. Driving to La Fortuna for excursions was a bit exhausting due to narrow curvy roads. No AC so if it had been much hotter we would have been uncomfortable. It was bearable. German bakery and Gingerbread restaurants were great!

This house is absolutely stunning. The house and grounds were spotless. The property manager was friendly and helpful. It is a bit of a drive to La Fortuna and a very solid trek to Monteverde. Nuevo Arenal does have restaurants, grocery, coffee etc. The kids absolutely loved the pool, and we enjoyed the views from the patio.

Beautiful property, convenient location
The views of Lake Arenal were outstanding. The property is extremely nice and located in a private gated community. A little construction noise during the day, but that looked to be nearing completion and we were normally out on adventures. Very easy 45 minute drive to La Fortunata attractions including Arenal volcano, mistico hanging bridges and a variety of hot springs. Did a day pass at Spring Resort and Spa which was very nice and many pools were empty during the day. Also went to La Leona falls for a tour with OffiTours. A bit of a drive but a beautiful location.

The house was awesome and the location close to some great restaurants in Nuevo Arenal was perfect. Kirsten, our host, was terrific! Quick to respond to our needs and full of information. Our only minor issue was a couple of ant appearances but we’re in the jungle after all. Access to multiple activities and La Fortuna was also excellent. I would highly recommend this location and would not hesitate to visit again in the future.

Beautiful house
This house is gorgeous, nicer than the pictures. Kirsten was very responsive and easy to work with. If you want to stay in Nuevo Arenal, this is the place to do it. We used this as our home base to go on daily expeditions. Luckily my husband doesn't mind driving because something that is listed at 9 miles away took us 45 minutes to get to. The roads are very slow, winding and some are full of potholes. It took us no less than an hour every time we went to LaFortuna. The restaurants nearby are all very good, there is no shortage of food markets and gas stations. The one activity we did locally was the Nuevo Arenal Night Jungle Tour by CRParaiso. It was great. We felt that this location provided a very authentic Costa Rican experience. La Fortuna is very touristy. One thing to know is that there is new construction right next-door. They start very early and seem to be working all the time. The hammers, saws and blow torches drowned out the howler monkeys and birds. This is what we heard while sitting by the pool. It would have been nice to know this beforehand.

Beautiful property and view!!
This property was beautiful, comfortable and had a million dollar view. Our teens enjoyed the patio and pool. The pool was on the cooler side but was fine when your body acclimated to the temperature. Jose warmed the hot tub for us daily the hot tub takes 3-4 hours to get hot. Just an fyi, the pool does not have a comfortable standing spot if you are below six foot. The design depth of the pool was odd but still we enjoyed it. The laundry area was very nice and every bedroom had a bathroom which was nice. We didn't care for the recommended restaurant, Moyas. We preferred the pizza 13 minutes from us on the way to La Fortuna. Also, the first night we stopped into The Gingerbread Restaurant and the arrogance of the owner was a turn off so we didn't stay. All in all. Great visit and wonderful place to come back to after four wheeling and tubing down the Rio Celeste.

Beautiful view, great property manager
The house was very nice: well cared for, safe location, quiet and private. The pool was lovely with a beautiful view. A few details to mention: Cleaning: there was a ball of hair in the shower when we arrived. I think the cleaning crew just missed this. Also there was a terrible bad smelling chemical throughout the house. Kristen said it was for cleaning the floors but the smell was so strong it was difficult to be in the house at all before it aired out. We had to open all doors and windows to circulate the air and it was just better enough to sleep the first night. Pool/Hot Tub: we are a family that likes a hot tub but are realizing they are hard to operate in Costa Rica. Getting the hot tub turned on each day at this property was a bit of an ordeal. They had a pool guy that came to help turn on the hot tub and my husband mostly learned how to do this during our stay but it was a lot to manage and sometimes stopped working and we didn’t understand why. This did not ruin our experience but was an extra hassle worth mentioning. Kristen was awesome: very responsive and helpful in every way that she could be. Brought a new coffee pot when we realized the ones in the house were broken, booked dinner reservations, and suggested local hikes. Overall this is a great house with really excellent people managing it.
