„We stayed here as a couple but also as part of a larger family group, including my niece and nephew (12 and 8 respectively). Our room was the Illingworth room. It was huge, facing out across the road to the lovely old church. Road noise was minimal and the bed extremely comfy with good pillows which were not too soft, perfect for us. We slept well. „Sehr schön gelegenes hotel, Zimmer sauber, betten bequem. Schöne große Aufenthaltsräume um einfach zu sitzen und eine Bar um was zu trinken ohne ein "Bar-Gefühl" zu haben, also auch für die kinder geeignet. Schlecht war dass der Geräteraum des großen Fitnessbereichs unter meinem Zimmer war und ab 7 uhr sehr lautstark Gewichte gehoben wurden, es gab regelmäßiges Knallen und der boden zitterte. Das geht gar nicht. “

„Highfield house is very close to centre of Skipton. Parking is relatively easy in the area. Our host was available when I called to ask about parking on drive and as she had finished preparing the rooms allowed us to check in then. Very helpful.“

„Es ist ein sehr in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel, bei dem das Preis Leistungs Verhältnis nicht besonders gut ist. Schon der Aufstieg mit dem Gepäck über die steilen Treppen ins 2. Stockwerk (kein Lift) ist sehr beschwerlich. Es erwartet einen ein im alten Stil engerichtetes Zimmer und ein Bad mit einer überdimensionierten Eckbadewanne, dafür ein winziges Waschbecken. Die Eckbadewanne ist außerdem etwas ungünstig zu besteigen und auch zum Duschen. Irgendwelche Heizleitungen führen ungedämmt und ...
