Das Cottage at Wintersun ist ein wunderschön eingerichtetes 4-Zimmer-Haus aus dem Jahr 2000. Es befindet sich auf dem 130 Morgen großen Wintersun Estate in den Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina und ist nur 20 Minuten von der pulsierenden und aufregenden Stadt Asheville, NC, und dem Biltmore Estate entfernt.

Für Discgolf-Liebhaber ist das Haus von zwei privaten Discgolfplätzen umgeben, auf denen Sie direkt von Ihrem Vorgarten aus spielen und spielen können. Die Discgolfplätze wurden im höchsten Prozentsatz der Privatplätze an der Ostküste eingestuft und sind absolut privat, keine anderen Spieler! Der kurze Platz (11 Löcher) kann in 1 Stunde gespielt werden, während der lange Platz (18 Löcher) ungefähr 3 Stunden dauert und 4 Meilen Fairways hat.

Für Wanderer und Spaziergänger haben Sie Zugang zu 4 Meilen von schönen privaten Wanderwegen auf dem 130 Hektar großen Wintersun Estate mit herrlichem Blick auf die Berge und viel Flora und Fauna.

Im Cottage befindet sich im Wohnzimmer im Obergeschoss ein Gas-Kamin und ein Fernseher mit einem großen bequemen Sofa und Stühlen. Es gibt 3 Schlafzimmer im Obergeschoss und 2 Bäder. Zwei Schlafzimmer haben zwei Einzelbetten, während das dritte ein französisches Bett und ein eigenes Bad hat. Alle Bettwäsche werden geliefert.

Die Küche ist komplett ausgestattet mit Kochutensilien, Kaffeemaschine, Mikrowelle, Herd, 2 Backöfen, Kühl- / Gefrierschrank, Geschirrspüler, Geschirr, Tellern, Glaswaren, Servierplatten, Kochgeschirr sowie Töpfen und Pfannen. Es gibt auch eine Waschmaschine und einen Trockner.

Das Familienzimmer im Erdgeschoss verfügt über einen Großbild-TV mit einem großen Sofa und Ledersesseln sowie eine Küchenzeile mit einem Herd und einem Kühlschrank für Getränke und Snacks. Es gibt ein Schlafzimmer im Erdgeschoss mit einem Kingsize-Bett und einem Vollbad. Bettwäsche geliefert. Das Esszimmer im Erdgeschoss ist mit einem antiken Tisch dekoriert und bietet Platz für 8 Personen.

Neben dem Familienzimmer befindet sich eine große Außenterrasse mit einer Gas-Feuerstelle und bequemen Sitzgelegenheiten.

Sie haben Zugang zu einem Forellenbach, der von Mai bis Februar zum Fliegenfischen durch das Anwesen fließt. Ein Angelschein ist erforderlich und kann bei den meisten Wal-Mart's oder Dicks Sporting Goods erworben werden.

Disc golf getaway
We came up here for a disc golf bachelor party with my buddies and it did not disappoint at all. Property was fantastic and had tons of sleeping arrangements that suited all 8 of us just fine. Were all wanting to come back again next year. The courses were wonderful and definitely got some steps in from them! Thank you for letting us stay there.

Sober Disc Golf Trip
My friends and I have for the past 5yrs had a private disc golf tournament. Since the IDGH in Appling, GA. was under construction we ventured out to different locations. We found this gem! It was fantastic and accommodated us perfectly. Every room has a gas fire place, the kitchen was big enough for all of us, and the front porch was the perfect setting to have morning reflections. The short course was great, however, the long course is extremely difficult (we are all intermediate level players); but we still had a lot of fun and they were well maintained with nice baskets. The only complaints I had were the hot tub never got warm, and the grill was very underwhelming. Super close to a grocery store!

Favorite Family Vacation
This is our 3rd or 4th trip to Wintersun. It is one of our favorite places to come and relax.... The property is beautiful and we love hiking on the estate trails. We also love that we can bring our dog. It is nice to find a property that will comfortably accommodate a big group. We will definitely be back!

Loved this place!
Wintersun was the perfect place to enjoy our Thanksgiving with family and friends! The house was so cozy and comfortable and big enough for all our 11 guests. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas! The house was well-equipped for all our needs and the grounds were beautiful. My brother brought his fly-fishing rods and tried out the trout stream. We really enjoyed the natural gas fire pit outside! Plus it was great to take our dogs! We will definitely rent Wintersun again. Judy was a great host and so easy to work with.

The cottage was such a surprise. We were looking for a nice place to snuggle in with our son who is a freshman at UNCA and we stumbled on Wintersun. The disc golf course drewme in, but wow! I had no idea we would be staying on our own private preserve with miles of hiking trails to explore! It could not have been a more perfect fit for us. Another bonus is that it is dog friendly. Our son was able to reconnect with his girl, Gertie!

Wonderful weekend. It ended up being 4 of us, women of age. The bedroom situation was perfect because 2 of the women have difficulty with stairs. It is hard to find a house with more than one bedroom on the main floor, but this one has three! Beautiful, quiet setting! The trees were turning colors…it was Heavenly!

Our favorite place in the mountains!
I chose to spend my birthday at this wonderful house with my family. It is our 7th time staying here. We love the beautiful setting and great paths to walk around the property. My husband and sons love the disc golf and our dogs love wading in the steam. We also love how easy it is drive into Asheville and the great communication with Judy and Susan, the owners. Can’t wait for our next visit!

We 7 cousins (all “seniors” in age only) enjoyed 4 nights at the cottage. Very comfortable, well equipped kitchen, walkable trails right at the back door. We enjoyed the Biltmore experience and lunch at the Grove Park Inn, both within 20 minutes of the cottage. We recommend this rental!

Everyone loved the house and grounds. Hard to believe you can be so close to Asheville but have this much nature around you. The house is very well equipped, beautifully decorated, and sits in a pasture filled with wildlife. Wake to birds singing, watch the Turkeys feed, then walk around the expansive property. Western NC at it's very best!

Wonderful stay once again!
This is our 6 or 7th time staying at this house. We love it! My husband and sons love to play disc golf and fish in the stream. We all love to hike around the beautiful trails with our dogs and then relax around the fire pit in the evening. We love the proximity to Asheville's breweries restaurants and shopping. There's no other house like it with so much to do right at the house.

Amazing Property
We absolutely love staying at Judy’s cottage. We are local and find this is such a great getaway just far enough from town that you feel like you’re not an home anymore. Family Fun
Rented this lovely house for visiting family of 4, two parents and two young adults. On their way to Asheville, they all came down with a cold, so we spent most of our time indoors or on the property. There was plenty of room for the six of us to sit together and chat, gather around a table to play games or stroll the grounds enjoying the spring weather. Everyone adored it and returned home refreshed and renewed. We will definitely make this delightful and comfortable cottage our regular home away from home.

Peaceful Oasis Outside Asheville
It's not always easy to find a home rental that makes three generations of guests happy, but Wintersun hit the mark for our reunion of eight (plus one dog) this weekend. The house was immaculate and had all the cookware and utensils that we needed for our meals, and we all appreciated the small post-card-size, take-along cards Judy and Susan made with directions to local sites; the detailed architectural/landscaping map of the (extensive and beautiful) grounds; and the helpful disc golf maps (not to mention the spare discs!). The power went out very briefly during a thunder/wind storm, but Judy promptly texted that she was arriving with candles and flashlights---which we wound up not needing, because the power came back on shortly. We also appreciated her letting us stay after our departure time to play one last round of disc golf. Everyone agreed that we'd stay there again in a heartbeat. Beautiful property, attentive and friendly hosts. Thank you, Judy and Susan!
