THE PROPERTY
Starting with your arrival to the 1.34 acre property, you will be surrounded by the scents of rosemary and lavender bushes, the rustling of trees and chirping of the many bird species, and if you are lucky, you will see the daily crossings of the deer in front and behind the property. In the back, is a bubbling river rock water feature, a vine covered gazebo with fire pit & cafe lights, a hot tub for up to 6, outdoor dining tables for 12 and plenty of space to stretch out.

THE HOME
I fell in love with the French countryside many years ago, and decided to design a retreat that would transport you to the European countryside and provide that same feeling of nurturing beauty and history.

Inside is a carefully curated & professionally designed home filled with unique one of a kind vintage furnishings, original art and decor, much of which is from Europe. Many of these items have a story and a history behind them. Beds and seating were selected for comfort.

There is room for everyone to gather as well as private spaces for alone time.

LIVING SPACES
The home has an open feel perfect for entertaining but plenty of private spaces as well.

There is a living room with dining table for 10 and a conversation seating area.

Adjacent to that is the fully equipped chef's kitchen with a 36" vintage O'Keefe and Merritt range, and just beyond that is the family room with wood burning fireplace, a down filled deep sectional sofa to sink in to and a smart 55" TV with a Roku for every app you could possibly want.

ROOMS
Each bedroom has a spectacular view with lots of windows and natural light and blackout curtains for great sleep. 2 bedrooms have window seats and 2 with daybeds for cozying up with your favorite book, or to take a cat nap. All rooms are TV free purposely designed as a retreat from screens with high end mattresses & plenty of storage and drawers. Every room will have 2 fluffy robes, luggage racks & bedside charging ports.

Every bed boasts luxury Parachute brand sheets and a choice of down filled or down alternative pillow. 2 pillows provided per person.

Room 1 - 2 beds : King, twin
Master en suite with a bathroom, with a deep soaking tub & walk in shower. Has access to the backyard. The king mattress is an organic latex mattress with pillow top pad and the twin is a Wayfair medium memory foam mattress.

Room 2 - 2 beds: King, twin
Has a bay window with view to the gorgeous oak tree filled back yard. The king mattress is a Helix hybrid inner spring and memory foam (seriously the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on), the twin is a Wayfair medium memory foam mattress. So cushy & comfortable.

Room 3 - 1 bed: Queen
Has a window seat with a view of the front yard. Helix hybrid inner spring / memory foam mattress. Pure heaven.

Room 4 - 2 full beds
This room has a large closet, a window seat with view of the front yard. One mattress is a Sealy inner spring pillow top and the other is a Zinus hybrid inner spring / memory foam with pillow top mattress pad. You sink in to both for a great night of sleep.

So much love and attention has been poured in to this space and I'm thrilled to share it with you.

Guests have access to the entire property with the exception of the large workshop building that is separate from the house, the green house or any sheds. Please note, the fenced in garden is the neighbor's property.

There is parking for up to 5 cars, as well as RV parking with electrical & water hookups at the end of the driveway.

This is a rural neighborhood where every lot is over an acre. It is quiet and private, but you are still close enough to neighbors where they will hear loud noises. There is a creek that runs behind the house.

You have grocery, dollar tree, gas & fast food 2 minutes on the other side of the freeway.
There are plenty of additional grocery & shopping options within 15 min.

10-20 min. to Paso Robles
5 min. to downtown Atascadero or Templeton
25 min. to the coast either Morro Bay or Cambria.
35 min. to Hearst Castle
15 min. to a natural mineral hot spring center.
25 min. to San Luis Obispo

You will need a car and there is parking available for up to 5 cars.

THINGS TO NOTE:
~ Minimum age to rent is 25 and primary guest must stay for the duration of the booking.
~ A photo ID to verify age at the time of booking is required to finalize your reservation.
~ A rental contract must be signed online via your email address within 24 hours of booking. Please review the sample contract attached prior to booking.
~ Your cleaning fee includes a $3000 damage waiver policy to cover accidental damage. Exclusions apply. If you are a smaller group and won't use all of the bedrooms, inquire about a reduced cleaning fee.

~ This home is on a septic system so occupancy is strictly enforced to avoid a septic backup of sewage in to the house. Your max occupancy during your booking is what you submit in your booking. Additional guests must be approved.

~ Stays longer than 2 weeks:
We require a light cleaning every 2 weeks in addition to the checkout cleaning. (prices TBD)

ANIMALS
~ Dogs are considered, only when pre-approved prior to booking. Max 2 dogs per stay

~ Pet fee is $150 for the 1st dog, 2nd dog free. 7 night max. Cats are not considered due to severe allergies.

~ Dogs must stay off of the furniture and bedding. If your dogs are used to being on the sofa or bed, please bring your own coverings to protect the furniture.

(Service & emotional support animals must be disclosed prior to booking)
Pet Fee is waived only for legitimate service or emotional support animals in which the animals are never left behind without the owner. Evidence that the animals were left behind will result in the pet fee being charged.

Please note that in California, pretending to be an owner of a service dog is a criminal misdemeanor punishable by a fine of up to $1,000 (and/or up to six months imprisonment).

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Our rental contract will specify that GUEST can cancel at any time regardless of the VRBO cancellation policy. If the GUEST cancels the reservation more than 48 hours after the initial booking (provided it is less than 14 days prior to arrival), the rent & host fees paid minus a [$75 ] administrative charge may be refunded if the same or partial dates are re-rented. If re-rented for lesser amount, the difference will not be refunded.
We highly recommend you purchase travel insurance to cover any losses.

NOISE ORDINANCE:
This is a family home. We encourage our guests to have fun, but please be respectful of our very sweet neighbors and keep the noise to a minimum at all times. We are surrounded by full time residents who we love and who love us, and appreciate their peace and quiet. A noise & smoke monitoring device both inside and out will inform us if noise levels exceed those allowed by the city or cigarette / pot or vaping is present inside the house. We ask that you keep outdoor music family friendly and at appropriate levels as to not disrupt peace and quiet of the neighborhood. Everyone should be indoors by 10pm. These do not record audio, they simply detect decibal levels and cigarette or vaping smoke.

SECURITY CAMERAS
We have a ring doorbell and 3 exterior cameras that will record audio & video upon motion detection. One at the end of the drive on the shop, one in the back of the house overlooking the whole backyard, and one on the side of the house. These are primarily to ensure that our maintenance services are being performed and to monitor if deer have breached our fences.
There are no cameras inside the house. We have 2 Honeywell home temperature sensors (1 in the master bedroom and 1 in the family room). These help our thermostat maintain a more even temperature in the house. They do not record audio or video.

Lovely house, superbly equipped and very clean
This lovely house is a true gem. Spacious, beautifully decorated, and sparkling clean. They provide plenty of everything (towel, toiletries, etc.). The kitchen is especially well equipped with everything you need to prep and serve meals. We appreciated the many additional touches, like the throw blankets, board games, children's books, and other surprises. The hostess was very nice and easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend this property.

So many thoughtful amenities, from the fun things to do in the house to little details you might need to make your stay comfortable. Beautiful property and incredibly helpful host
Our group of 8 (kids, teens, and adults) had a terrific stay at Chateau Vigne. The house was exactly as it appeared in the description and photos. Our kids loved all the games in the garage. The host provided an extensive amount of information before and during our stay, as well as labels around the house, anticipating every possible question we might have. She also graciously mailed back some of our things that were accidentally left behind. We spent most of our time in Paso, which was a very quick and easy drive, but we also enjoyed lounging around the property.

Amazing home !
We had an amazing stay at Chateau Vigne. Adults and kids all had something to keep themselves entertained. It's a great place for friends and family get-togethers. It provides easy access to everything that Paso Robles region offers, though you could spend several days just staying at the home relaxing :-)

A Magical Home in Wine Country!
Marilynn and her team have thought of every possible detail on this beautiful property. The home is large, beautifully appointed and beyond comfortable. We were fortunate enough to have this place for a long weekend with two couples, two toddlers and two dogs. The toddlers and dogs enjoyed the huge back yard and fun yard features! The game room provided a separate space for the kids to play inside, and everyone enjoyed playing air hockey, foozball and Ms. Pac-Man. We barely left the house; we slept in, cooked and played outside. Marilynn and team are responsive, kind, thoughtful and communicative. Truly the best VRBO experience we have ever had. We will be back!
