Peaceful Log Cabin on Pleasant Hill

If you're looking for a secluded, yet convenient, quiet retreat, this log cabin tucked away in the rolling hills of Athens County is the place for you! Pick the front porch or the back deck for your morning coffee or evening nightcap with peaceful meadow views. Inside you'll find a cozy living room, featuring a gas fireplace, that's open to the kitchen and dining area. With cathedral ceilings that really show off the beauty of this log home. The kitchen has all the necessities including a stove, oven, microwave, toaster, refrigerator and more. For sleeping, you'll find a king sized bed in the first floor bedroom and a queen sized bed upstairs in the loft. Enjoy dinner on the back deck with a dining table set and grill, or toast s'mores around the fire pit. The cabin isn't huge but the views are grand! Just a short drive to Uptown Athens and Ohio University, and super convenient to a few of our area wineries like Shade Winery and our neighbors just a couple miles down the road - Pleasant Hill Winery!

Gorgeous cabin!
We took our son to visit Ohio University and wanted to stay somewhere different than a hotel. The 5-star reviews on this cabin are spot on! It’s in a scenic, secluded setting about 10 minutes from Athens. The cabin has recently been updated with modern furniture, decor and bathroom vanity. It’s everything I was hoping for. Now I just hope my son ends up going to OU so we can come back and stay there again!

Beautiful getaway in a cozy cabin
We had a wonderful time in this little cabin. We were looking for a place to secret away and relax and this fit the bill perfectly. We had some rain during our stay, but watching the gnarly weather from the comfort of the porch rocking chairs while reading was delightful. The hosts were open and responded quickly to communication. There's not a whole lot to do in the area, but that was fine for our trip!

Too short a visit for such a beautiful place!
Thoughtfully designed and comfortably furnished in every way. The most delightful little cabin in the most serene of settings. Little House on the Prairie vibes with every little comfort you could imagine. My only regret is that our daughter's orientation schedule took us away from the house so much!

This cabin was better than advertised. It had everything we needed, was off the beaten path, but close to campus for graduation festivities, extremely quiet and peaceful. The only negative was Mother Nature didn’t let us use the fire pit and do s’mores. Not sure when we will be in Athens again, but would stay here over any of the hotels in town. Thanks for being a great host.

Perfect family spot
This was our second time staying in this cabin. It’s perfect for our family of 3, while we’re visiting our other kid at OU. The proximity to the school and Uptown is super convenient. Just a short drive, but out of all the busyness of central Athens. The cabin is very clean, decor is super cute, and outside sitting/fireside area is perfect on a sunny day. The King bed is very comfy, and the loft is perfect for older kids/teens. Owners are super helpful and responsive. We look forward to staying again in the future!

Perfect Couple Getaway
We booked this as a way to disconnect from work and it was PERFECT. Everything was spotless and felt more like a resort than a house rental. The fireplace was warm and cozy and the fire pit was great. Plus the bed was extremely comfortable and my husband has a bad back so that’s a huge deal when we feel relaxed. We were in town for my MBA commencement ceremony. We loved staying at this property! It was quiet and secluded, super clean and tidy, and equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing visit. Perfect Peaceful Getaway
My spouse and I stayed for our 9 year anniversary and it was everything we hoped for. Secluded and quiet while being only ten minutes from town. Beautiful cabin, cozy, and lots of amenities. We loved staying here in these rolling wooded hills. The cabin was beautifully equipped and off to itself in a clearing in the woods. Everything was provided and the rooms and beds were clean and comfortable. There is a nice deck off the kitchen, and a covered front porch. It was very relaxing. Highly recommended!

We came from NY to drop our daughter off at Ohio University. We were able to spend 4 days at this wondeful cabin. The cabin was immaculate and the kitchen was well stocked. The views were amazing. Loved sitting on the front porch and by the fire pit. Had a great time at the winery up the road. Will definitely be back.
