Located in Austin’s gorgeous, luxurious Old West neighborhood, this cozy 2bd/1ba house has the charm that brings so many people to Austin every day. The city’s best restaurants, bars, and sights are just a quick Uber drive away.

This house is nestled away in the back of the property for more privacy. Drive up the driveway, pull up to the fence, and you’re good to go! Enter through the keyless entry and take a deep breath. The cool, color palette in the living room and kitchen is instantly calming. A unique fridge, portable air conditioning, and mid-century modern decor offer great retro vibes but don’t worry. High-speed wifi and a smart TV bring this house into the 21st century.

Two bedrooms offer a cozy place to relax after a long day of enjoying the Live Music Capital of the World. And with such a great location, you can enjoy all of it!

Some of Austin’s best restaurants are right around the corner: Musashino, Olive and June, Kerbey Lane Cafe, Hopdoddy, Uchiko, Tacodeli, Maudie's, Draught House, Antonelli's, Food Heads, Central Market (better than Whole Foods), and much more! Have a meal before or after your hike and bike on the Shoal Creek Greenbelt - just a quick walk from the house!

This home comes with a driveway for parking your car. Street parking is also available throughout the neighborhood.

Guests will have access to the entire space, including the private patio off the living room. The driveway is shared with the front unit of the duplex. There is one dedicated parking space in the driveway and plenty of street parking.

If you need recommendations, we'll be available to provide them otherwise you'll have complete privacy. We'll provide you with access information before you arrive, so you'll have super quick and easy entry.

After booking you'll be provided a link where you can purchase upgrades to your booking such as early check-in and late check-out, additional cleanings, and more that will make your Austin experience even better!

We don't charge a security deposit! Where many hosts charge over $500, and where you as the guest risk them not returning your deposit – Austin Vacay remains guest-centric by charging a one-time, non-refundable fee (already included in your booking price) which provides up to $750 of coverage towards unintentional rental property damages (subject to plan terms and conditions). This means a lower cost to book, and because accidents happen, protection against costly charges. Plan terms and conditions provided by request after booking.

Located in the upscale neighborhood of West Austin, this area is characterized by its elegant homes, tree-lined streets, and well-maintained parks. Known for its serene and sophisticated living environment, the locale offers attractions such as local art galleries, high-end boutiques, and gourmet dining establishments that reflect the affluence and refined taste of the community. Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the close proximity to Lady Bird Lake and other recreational areas, offering opportunities for hiking, biking, and watersports. With a harmonious blend of luxury and natural beauty, this part of Austin provides a tranquil yet vibrant lifestyle, making it a sought-after destination for those seeking both relaxation and urban excitement.

Scooters (Lime & Bird) as well as Lyft and Uber are the best ways to get around Austin, especially this close to everything. However, there are also a lot of public transportation options in this area (see CapMetro's website).
We have security cameras outside of our property at the entrances for added security and your peace of mind. We do not have any cameras inside, respecting our guests' privacy.
1) No smoking allowed (of any kind) ($350 fine)
2) No loud noises after 10 PM per city ordinance
3) No events or parties
4) No pets allowed
5) The cleaning that you pay for is to clean the home prior to your stay. If you do not pick up after yourself sufficiently when you check out, you may be charged an additional cleaning fee - price depends on how long it takes to clean up after you. We don't expect you to scrub the home, but simply pick up your trash and put everything where you found it
6) Minimum age requirement is 25
7) If you do not check out on time (11AM) you will be charged an additional night
8) Please see the House Manual emailed to you a few days before your stay

Super cute place in a REALLY nice neighborhood
Our stay was awesome. The side house was super cool with the awesome little patio for guests. Nice and tucked away PLUS it’s in an incredible neighborhood. Beautiful houses all over. Also it comes with forks, cups, k-cups a coffee maker, a microwave, and even ice cubes so you don’t have to worry about bringing that stuff. Would stay again!

Super cute and cozy place
My husband, my best friend and I absolutely adore this place. It made us feel cozy and it is also very clean. The neighborhood is perfectly quiet and peaceful. One issue we ran into was that there was a strange little stain on one of the pillows, but that is all that was a little concerning. Overall, we loved it! Thank you.

A Gem
I so enjoyed this cozy little gem. Everything is as pictured. The first thing that I noticed was what a nice neighborhood this house is located in. The house is very private, even though you are sharing the property with the host house., which is at the front of the property. It’s a unique set up. When I walked in the house I immediately noticed how clean everything was. The king beds in both bedrooms are very comfortable, which is something that is important to me. My favorite thing was the private, fenced patio. I loved having my morning coffee out there. So peaceful! I was even visited by 2 hummingbirds! The owner lives on the property and was very welcoming. I felt very safe at all times. The neighborhood Starbucks and grocery store are less than 5 minutes away. I will definitely be staying here when I am in Austin.

PERFECT LOCATION while visiting grandparents!
Family of four (kids ages 7 & 10) in town to visit with the grandparents. This was the PERFECT place for us! Both bedrooms had a king, meaning the bed was big enough that the kids didn't argue about space or blanket stealing. Small kitchen is all we needed to start the day with breakfast and prep snacks while busy visiting with grandparents. Only 1.5 miles to Westminster senior living, meant it was easy to run back if we forgot anything or needed to take a break. Right off of MOPAC to make adventures into downtown super easy as well. Nice quiet neighborhood for walks. Hosts were great with communication, checkin & out were very easy and went smoothly. Highly recommend, this will be our go to when we are in town for visits!!

We came to Austin to see our daughter, who is a student at UT. This unit was perfect for our trip. Close to campus, great dining, beautiful and quiet neighborhood, two very large bedrooms and a full kitchen. The beds are very comfortable. Would love to stay again when we come back for a visit!

This cute duplex is located in the beautiful Old West Austin neighborhood. The duplex was very comfortable, the only downside is 1 small bathroom with a very low sink for my 6’4 husband and the shower needs a new faucet. We stayed for a week and It would have been nice to have a dresser or some sort of storage for clothing in the bedrooms. But these are first world problems and overall it was very lovely. We would stay again because of the great location!
