Rustic Log Home located near Baileys Harbor

Welcome to our authentic New England log home, built by our family in 1976. This charming home has many recent updates, including hard wood flooring, fully remodeled bathrooms, and an updated kitchen. Lounge on one of the two covered porches, perfect for enjoying a morning cup of coffee or evening glass of wine. Enjoy cooking outdoors in the picnic area. Relax in the spacious living room with a cathedral ceiling and stone fireplace. We are located 3 miles south of Baileys Harbor on a private 3 acre lot surrounded by woods. Enjoy a leisurely walk down the road to explore the lakeshore or watch the sunrise. Sit on the porch and watch the mystic hummingbirds as they enjoy their nectar. An abundance of wildlife can be viewed. In the backyard is a picnic area with a grill and picnic table for outdoor meals. In the evening you can stargaze by the fire pit in the backyard. It’s is only a short drive to Maxwelton Braes Golfcourse or the charming town of Baileys Harbor. Baileys Harbor offers many activities for nature enthusiasts, from the wildlife sanctuary to salmon fishing, kayaking, zip lining or just relaxing on one of two public beaches. The fall and winter months offer beautiful colors and breathtaking scenery. Cross country skiing and ice fishing are favorite excursions during the winter months. Ski trails are groomed in our state parks and ice fishing charters are available. Come and explore the quiet side of Northern Door County!

Cozy log cabin
This home was a perfect fit for our family of 7, along with Grandma, to spend the Thanksgiving holiday. The description online was very accurate.The home was clean and welcoming. The kitchen was fully stocked. Lisa, the host, lives nearby and is very responsive to any questions or issues. Beds were comfortable and plenty of towels. Fireplace was so nice. Great stay.

Lovely cabin, another great find!
Great cabin, felt very cozy and well appointed! Everything was thoughtfully decorated for Fall with all the basics covered. We loved the trails down the street and enjoyed walking with our dogs to the lake in the morning.

wonderful cabin in the woods
we had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin in the woods for our annual mother/daughter weekend. We were given simple instructions for entering the home and it was even more cute and cozy than the pictures! We were also given great recommendations on things to do and places to go and eat. The location was awesome, close enough to all the towns, but just out enough to be private. We enjoyed evening walks down to the end of the road to the big lake :) we would stay here again!!

Outstanding property and service
We were very impressed with the cleanliness, updating, and maintenance of this roomy log home. It had everything we needed, and then some. The beds were super comfortable, the location was quiet and peaceful, yet central to everything in Door County. Our five days went by way too fast, and we can't say enough good things about the property or the host, who was attentive and responsive to our every question and need.

This rental was ideally located for our family vacation. Beautiful walk to Lake Michigan and short drives to our points of interest. The property is a short drive out of Bailey’s Harbor. It has a well equipped kitchen. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of parking. Comfortable seating for 6 adults in the living room. Property has a grill and fire pit. Property owners were easy to work with.

Enjoyed staying at this pet friendly, spacious, private home, conveniently located right off of highway 57. Owner provided all amenities. The kitchen was well equipped. We brought extra supplies but didn’t need them. There was a large tv and reclining furniture in the living room. Beds were comfortable. Highly recommend this home for your stay in Door Co.

Long weekend in Door County
Appreciated the generator when the area lost power. The house was very clean and comfortable and the location was great. Didn’t mind the drive to the other side of the peninsula. Lots of amenities on the east side popping up. Thank you for the gifts - loved the coffee and chocolate covered cherries - and appreciated the information you left us. We walked to the beach and walked the trail by the beach- all very beautiful. Had fun roasting marshmallows over the fire pit. One recommendation are to have dehumidifiers available. Even tho it was cool outside, inside felt damp. Also, we didn’t find hair dryers in the bathroom and couldn’t find an iron. Enjoyed our stay and would keep the house in mind for our next trip up north 😊
