"All the people that work there are very friendly and helpful (although sometimes a bit slow). The breakfast offered a broad selection of bread, cakes, cereals, joghurts, fresh fruit (pineapple, kiwi, grapes etc), juices, mineral water, boiled and scrambled eggs, ham, bacon, cheeses... The restaurant offers high-quality meals- not cheap, but sufficient quantities. . Only minus point: closed on Sunday, relative late start of dinner (19.30). The bar offers are large variety of cocktails, whiskey, gin etc for good price (standard cocktails are around 8 €). Located within 10 min walk from the airport, or 30 min walk from the city centre. The hotel offers free parking."

"Very nice Hotel which is clean, has very Friendly and helpful Personal and also the Restaurants are really good. The internal Restaurant is way too expensive compared to every other Restaurant you will find on the whole island! Thats why we recommend the Pizza Restaurant which is also more authentic. One thing in the Hotel is a Bit Strange. All simple Jobs are done by black people. On the one Hand it’s good that they get employed there. On the other hand it feels a bit wrong. "

"Wir waren in der Juniorsuite mit eigener Terrasse im malerischen Strandgebäude untergebracht. Eine Liege mit Sonnenschirm im gepflegten Garten und am Strand sind inklusive. Alles ist sehr gepflegt, das Bad ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber sehr sauber. Das Personal ist äußerst zuvorkommend. Transfer zum Flughafen kostet 40€. Das Frühstück ist umfangreich, qualitativ gehoben, heiße Getränke leider nur aus dem Automaten. Der Capucchino ist insofern nicht vergleichbar mit dem italienischen Standard aus der Siebträgermaschine. Der Strand ist gepflegt und natürlich; es gibt mehrere fussläufig erreichbare weitere Strände."

"Sehr schönes Hotel mit super Lage im Centro Storico. Schöne Einrichtung. Sehr ruhig in einer Seitenstraße. Gute Restaurants in der nähe. Schöne Caffès z.Bsp. Matteotti gut erreichbar. Einkaufsstraße 1 Minute zu Fuß erreichbar. All in all: Alles prima!"

"This was our fourth stay at Grand Hotel Smeraldo Beach and we enjoyed it as always. The hotel has a beautiful, picturesque location with pools, 2 private beaches only for hotel guests and a very well kept garden. The staff is brilliant. The hotel complex is not new, traditionally Italian but very well maintained and spotlessly clean. A superb, relaxed stay at this hotel, truly beautiful views and outstanding food with overall excellent service. We booked half board as before and enjoyed delicious lunch at Pagoda almost everyday but the four course dinner with typical Italian dishes must not be missed. Grazie mille! We will certainly come again,. "

"Sehr angenehmes Hotel - wenn auch durch die Hafennähe etwas laut und mit Parkplatzproblem. Sehr freundliches Personal, saubere Zimmer und leckeres Frühstück auf toller Frühstücksterrasse. Danke und gerne mal wieder."

"Wir waren für 4 Übernachtungen hier - und es hat sich komplett gelohnt. Wir waren hier zu zweit, als Paar. Wir hatten uns für dieses Hotel entschieden, da wir die Tage nutzen wollten um einfach nur am Pool zu Relaxen, Drinks an der Bar und gutes Essen zu genießen. All das konnten wir hier wunderbar. Das noch sehr junge Team ist super engagiert - manchmal noch nicht ganz eingespielt, aber 2 Wochen nach Eröffnung hat uns das nicht negativ überrascht. Im Gegenteil: alle sind super motiviert und sehr freundlich und stets interessiert allen Wünschen nachzukommen. Da es 2 Pool Bereiche gibt, sollte man als Familie wissen, dass der eine (obere) Pool mit toller Aussicht nur für Personen ü16 gestattet ist. Außerdem sind die Longdrinks an der Pool Bar nicht die günstigsten (ab 20,- steil aufwärts pro Drink), aber nicht überzogen für ein 5* Hotel. "
