Guests at Meridian House enter the gated community by passing through a security entrance. The mountaintop community, Costa Verde Estates, features a tennis court, helicopter pad, and walking trails galore. It takes about 20 minutes to drive the 4x4 mountain road from the coastal highway to the property. All guests are required to have a 4x4 vehicle.
There are two different restaurants and a minimarket about halfway up the mountain road, so visitors don't always have to go into town for supplies or a bite to eat. The town of Dominical is a half hour to the north, with the towns of Uvita and Ojochal a similar distance to the south. Between those three towns are a series of gorgeous beaches and fun surfing spots.
