Regardless of what has you looking to stay in the beautiful Village of Balsam Lake, Wisconsin we invite you to call "Balsam Lake Retreat" home! It is our goal to provide you with comfortable, relaxing, tastefully appointed, perfectly located accommodations in the Village of Balsam Lake that you will enjoy for the duration of your stay. Please Note this home is not located directly on the body of water of which is Balsam Lake but it's close, as in 3/10ths of a mile close. Whether you are looking to stay for just 2 nights while passing through town to relax or attend an event / wedding or you are looking to establish a place to take an annual family vacation we offer as short as a 2 night minimum and no maximum night stay so feel free to customize your reservation around what works for you.
This home is located a short walk (center of town is 1/2 of a mile) away from everything the Village of Balsam Lake has to offer including Indianhead Supper Club, only 2/10ths of a mile away but be sure to make a reservation, The Thirsty Otter, Balsam Lake Beach & Boat Launch, Balsam Lake Brewery and Market, Top Spot Tavern & Grill, The Barred Owl, Doc's Pub & Eatery, Balsam Lake Cafe, & Hopsack Gift Store & Coffee Shop are all within a 10 minute walking distance. Head East 1 mile and you will find Sunnyside Marina (pontoon rentals) and Balsam Lake Lodge Restaurant & Bar.
A quick 15 minute drive gets you to all that the communities of Milltown & St Croix Falls have to offer and a 20 minute drive will get you to Turtle Lake Casino, and the towns of Amery, & Luck.
The nearest golf courses are Five Flags & the Luck community course, or if it is Disc golf you are looking for Riegel Mammoth Disc Golf Course is nearby as well. If you are looking to go for a hike the Ice Age Trail, Interstate State Park, and the Gandy Dancer are just a 20 minute drive
Dancing Dragonfly and Deer Lake Wineries are within a 15 minute drive.
The home offers a spacious open layout in which the primary bedroom is located in the rear of the home and features an adjustable "split king" bed which may also be separated into 2 Twin XLs. From inside this primary bedroom is the access to the ensuite full bathroom which is also where you will find a huge walk-in closet. Located at the front of the home is the 2nd bedroom with a queen bed. The 2nd full bathroom is located just outside the door from the 2nd bedroom. Lastly, the pull-out sofa in the living room converts to a full sized bed.
Next head outside where the back yard is fully fenced and offers a combination gas assist / charcoal grill and a patio table for guests to use. Out front you will find a small bistro table with 2 chairs on a large stamped concrete patio adjacent to the front door of the home perfect for enjoying nature while sipping a cup of coffee.
Throughout your stay you will enjoy a Keurig Coffee maker with a variety of host provided K cups, an outdoor firepit with 8 chairs and a Smores making kit restocked prior to every rental, a variety of board games, and a thermostatically controlled gas fireplace located in the living room. Each bedroom and the living room all have portable fans for air movement and the home has a mini-split ac/heat unit located in the living room in addition to in-floor heat as the primary heat source. There is strong cell phone service at the home, and you are welcome to use the host provided high speed wireless internet. There is a 55" Samsung Smart Tv in the living room that may be used to connect to any streaming service you have an existing subscription to. Please note that other than "Samsung Tv" there is no programming subscription service provided.

NOTE: If you plan to have your family members including the furry kind (Dog) travel to Balsam Lake and accompany you for your stay at our property please click on the "TRAVELERS" drop down section on the reservation page and please be sure to accurately adjust the total number of guests up to a non-negotiable MAXIMUM of 6 that will be staying in the home between the hours of 11pm and 7am, NO EXCEPTIONS! Violations of this rule are easily verified through recorded security cameras and will result in a forfeiture of deposit. We allow and encourage renters to enjoy their time in Balsam Lake with their dog(s) but please check the box for traveling with pets. Accuracy when making your reservation in regards to both of the above makes for a much smoother transaction than us having to modify your charges after the fact once we see you arrive on the security cameras with more persons than stated on your reservation or your pet.

Rental of this home does NOT include access to, or use of the garage for parking, storage, event space or for any other purpose.
