Sugar Top is a condo community built on the peak of Sugar Mountain, minutes from Banner Elk and Grandfather Mountain. The first-class building features luxury amenities, such as an indoor pool, jacuzzi and gym.

The condo unit is spacious and bright, with a large living area offering comfy recliners facing the big TV, as well as additional seating for entertaining. From the living area you can step out onto the star feature: the balcony. Breathe in the fresh mountain air, while your eyes feast on the amazing long-range views. There's also a large picture window inviting the view inside, visible from both the living room and kitchen. A cozy electric fireplace conveniently adds warmth and ambiance to the area.

The kitchen is open to the living area through a large pass-through. Adjacent to the kitchen is a separate dining room, with seating for six. You'll quickly feel at-home here, taking advantage of the fully-equipped kitchen with its microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, blender and toaster oven, as well as the stainless fridge and stove. Enjoy family meals in, or invite your friends for a cocktail.

At the end of an eventful day, you'll enjoy the luxury of a king-sized bed, where you can relax and watch a little TV before falling asleep. The second bedroom has two twin beds. There are two bathrooms, so no one will feel cramped. One bath features a walk-in shower and the other has a tub-shower combination.

Parking is provided for you in the guest lot below the building. A guard is on-duty there and will call the shuttle bus to take you to and from the condo lobby.

Sugar Mountain is located in Avery County, NC, east of Blowing Rock, near the Tennessee line. It is part of the resort area that includes Banner Elk, Grandfather Mountain and Beech Mountain. Well-known for its skiing, Sugar Mountain is also a perfect destination throughout the year, due to the availability of countless activities and attractions. Here are just a few:

Golf – Play on one of the best 18-hole public courses in Western North Carolina, without leaving the mountain. The par-64 layout maximizes every view and mountain brook.

Hiking – Hiking opportunities abound throughout the area, but the most famous is Grandfather Mountain. The trailhead to the famous Profile Trail is just two miles from the main Sugar entrance.

Mountain Biking – Each summer, the ski slopes at Sugar Mountain Resort are converted to one of the most thrilling Bike Parks in the South.

Gemstone Mines – Our High Country mountains hide many treasures, including gemstones. Mining is a novel adventure for the whole family.

Whitewater Rafting – At the base of Sugar Mountain, High Mountain Expeditions provides rafting and kayaking trips on the Nolichucky River, Watauga River and Wilson Creek.

Snow or Water Tubing – Pick your season and join the fun! You'll find great snow tubing runs on Sugar Mountain, as well as ice skating and of course, skiing. In the warmer months, cool off with tubing on the New River.

Wineries – Enjoy a variety of local wines and live music, while ensconced in the spectacular scenery of the Blue Ridge Mountains. There are several vineyards just a short drive from Sugar Top, including Grandfather Vineyard, Banner Elk Winery and Linville Falls Winery.
