Classic double room with small window - dark room
Booked last November (2021) this hotel for my trip in July 2022. I have booked the classic double room. If you see the picture of the room online you will see, that there is a big window with light. I was surprised to get finally a room with a small window where I can see just the window of another room less then one metre from my window. Really depressing, also because I booked it more then 8 months before coming to Barcelona.
I asked at the receiption 2 times to change my room. They said thats what I booked and all other rooms are similar. But they are not similar. Just look from outside the hotel how big the windows are. I stayed in room 706. Thats the room with really less day light. Then I asked the receiptionist for the manager. I wanted to talk to him. He said that he dont pass his name. Then I asked the receiptionist for his name, but he also did not give me his name. What is this? People who work in the hotel dont pass their names? I am really sad about the service of the hotel. Never had this before in other Barcelona hotels and I am going there maybe 10 times every year. In the room is a safe. If you want to use this you have to pay a fee of 25 Euros. It would be helpful if this information is also online. The bed is a standard bed, less comfortable. Furniture in the room really down, old and should be renieved. On the floor 7 it is quite warm. So close the window and have the air conditioner all day. I am not coming again to this hotel. Service is here not big.
