Very disappointed with hotel policy and facility.
My first issue started with my own mistake. When booking a series of hotels in Expedia, I failed to update the date when booking my stay at Embassy. I recognize this was my error and it was non-cancellable however given I saw the error within 2 minutes and immediately raised with Embassy and Expedia. Being allowed to just immediately move the booking to the next night doesn't seem unreasonable but Embassy refused to allow me to change the booking to the next night. Thus I payed for one unused night.
The 2nd issue was the inability to open windows. I made repeated attempts to confirm this with the hotel but could never "get through" on the phone lines. As the pictures clearly show balcony railings, I assume that there must be doors onto balconies. When we checked in we found the balconies were just false fronts and no actual balcony and the rooms were completely sealed.
Clearly the featured pictures were misleading. We chose to go elsewhere but were still charged for the room resulting in now paying for 2 nights of unused rooms.
I would have hoped Embassy would have been more understanding a/o flexible. Alas, I will simply never stay at this chain ever again.
