Lazy days on the River
We enjoyed our time at this home, but there were some challenges.
Pros:
1. River views and outside deck sitting experience was peaceful and relaxing.
2. Plenty of linens.
3. Furnishings were nice and comfortable. Beds and pillows were fantastic.
4. Enclosed backyard for a dog. (No grass on the property)
5. Very secluded with views all around.
6. Kitchen is well stocked, however if you need a meat thermometer, bring your own. The one at the house is broken.
7. Wildlife.
8. True log cabin/house experience.
9. Rafters/kayakers can launch a few miles upstream at the bridge and land at your own dock - feet from the house. Awesome set up for enjoying the sun and water.
Cons:
1. The oven & broiler was broken. Told the property manager and they offered to send out a maintenance person. (Seems odd that this issue existed and wasn't checked out before we arrived)
2. Two of the stove burners were so tilted/bent that we couldn't cook on them. (Bottom line the old cooking unit should be replace given the burner and oven situation).
3. The oil heater never worked, even out we had maintenance come out and show us how it operated, it still gave an EE 2 error message.
4. Would highly recommend instruction manual for the house, particularly for the heating system and TV/cable.
5. If you are over 6', become flexible and ready for low shower heads.
6. Screen closer slams coming out of the mud room to the back deck.
7. Dishwasher sounds like a freight train. (But works).
