Fully renovated for 2022 season, the cottage has two bedrooms, the twin bedroom has lovely wooden drawers and wardrobe, the second bedroom has a double bed and wooden wardrobe. Extra guests can be accommodated with the sofa bed in the living room and a travel cot is available on request.
The comfortable living room has sofas to relax and sit by the wood burning stove, and you will find a selection of books, games, smart tv, and wifi. Amply sized dining area with wooden dining table and chairs.
The spacious and well equipped kitchen looks out onto the rear garden. The kitchen has a breakfast table and two chairs, all new appliances including dishwasher and microwave, and in the utility room a washing machine and dryer.
The large bathroom has wc, bath and electric shower (over bath) and heated towel rail. There is also a cloakroom with basin and second wc.
There are temperature controlled heaters in each room.
Outside to the front there is a gravel and planted garden with bench. The property is paved to the side and back allowing for easy access. In the back garden steps lead up to the summer house and raised terrace, with spectacular views across the valley. The perfect place to enjoy the tranquillity of this rural location, listening to the birds singing, and watching the everchanging skyscape. With incredible dark skies it is the ideal location for stargazing.
Set in the heart of North Northumberland halfway between Newcastle upon Tyne and Edinburgh. Ideally located to explore north Northumberland and the borders; whether you want to take time to relax, get out into the wilds of the Northumberland landscape, or explore the history of the area.

Our facilities include our friendly herb garden, studio space, traditional woodcraft workshop and large communal sunken fire pit.
There are bookable seasonal workshops or you can book a workshop for yourself or your group subject to availability.
