Thank you Storm Dennis!
Inglenook Cottage is a lovely stone-built cottage sat on top of a small hill east of Instow village. The cottage is very inviting and cosy - good when you are sheltering from a storm. It is well stocked with the expected items; crockery, towels, bedding etc. It is very homely, with a wealth of bits and bobs, pictures and ornaments - all really lovely. The wood-burner and supplied timber was a great boon - and probably just as well, since it might have been a tad cool without it. The situation is good, but not great; parking in the carpark was fine (school holiday) but loading/unloading is a bit of pain since you cannot park outside the cottage without completely blocking the lane. The infant school is immediately over the lane from the cottage. From the lovely shower/bathroom there is a view of the Taw estuary. The kitchen has a good gas hob, microwave fridge/freezer etc and is nicely finished and very 'usable' on a daily basis. The only disappointment was the sun-room/conservatory on the side of the cottage - this is very drafty and leaks a little - not somewhere to linger if cold outside. The garden is well kept and in good weather would be a delightful place to sit out and enjoy a drink or two. Over-all, the cottage is lovely, homely and welcoming; well fitted out and comfortable. The photos on the website are generally a good representation.
