I’m originally from the Marquette area and like to come back once a year to see friends and spend time with my grandkids. The home was perfect for us. Its located in the woods on a paved rd with no traffic… deer, rabbits and sand hill cranes frequently came into the yard. It’s an uncluttered open floor plan with lots of space…counter space for cooking with the kids, nice table space for games and eating, in addition to a place to keep our “in-progress” puzzle! I have mobility issues and especially loved the lack of steps and the walk-in shower with grab bars. In addition to the gas stove, we used the outside gas grill as well as the fire pit for meals. The fridge and freezer were large in capacity and everything was clean and in working order.
The area had lots to do… the kids spent time at the beach and fished off the dock in the county park. We enjoyed the view of Lake Superior from Thomas Rock and the natural beauty of Algin Falls. Very little to no tourist present at anything we did in Big Bay. On two days we traveled the 30 minutes into Marquette to see Presque Isle, Black Rocks, Marquette Mountain, Sugar Loaf Mountain and Dead River falls.
Great home, great location = wonderful memories!
