Biwabik Bunkhouse near Giants' Ridge

Beautiful lake home on Embarrass Lake, 5 miles to one of the premiere ski and golf resorts in Minnesota, (the Quarry and Legend) and just over 60 miles north of Downtown Duluth. Almost 3600 square feet with nearly 200' of beautiful and sandy lake shore with a gorgeous swimming beach with two docks and a boathouse. Pontoon boat on site is available for rental, as well!

Gaze at the stars from the beautiful wrap-around deck. Spend the day relaxing in the shallow sandy water. Enjoy the evening with a bonfire on the beach shore, playing bags from the walkout basement, with tons of activities to keep the family busy: playground, dartboard, Air hockey table, Shuffleboard table, pac-man video games, pellet smoker/grill, foosball, sauna, wet bar, TV's, Internet, and too many other things to list!

Bonfires, star gazing, wildlife, 1000's of acres of public land, OHV/ATV Trails, Paved biking trails, and Giants' Ridge (skiing, snowshoeing, golf, top notch restaurant, ....) being a stones throw from the property... We truly believe there is something for everyone at this beautiful retreat.

Relaxing spot for annual Ohv trip
We had two trucks/trailers full of atv’s, the driveway is pretty steep in one spot but we hauled in and out without trouble. Great relaxing environment in the cabin, sauna gets nice and hot and the lake makes a good cold plunge. Hosts were very responsive. You’ll enjoy it.

We attended a wedding at the near by Giants ridge. The house was beautifully situated on embarrass lake. We kayaked and enjoyed the big deck. Hiked some trails. Great place for kids and family get together. Clean and spacious.

Better than expected
We used this property for a family reunion. I really want to stress that I think the home is better than the pictures, which is never expected. As every family member arrived it was awesome seeing how excited they were when they toured the house, lake and grounds. Remarkable Place! WOWZA!
Best VRBO ever. This house has all the bells and whistles, and I mean ALL. It is near Biwabik (Amazing bike trails and skiing) and on a gorgeous lake. We kayaked, took out the pontoon, lounged on the lily pad, swam, and watched sunsets from the enormous wrap around deck. Kitchen and family room are great. At night, we went downstairs to the “bar’ and played darts, foosball, and shuffleboard. It has a sauna! Beds are comfy, and there are LOTS of them. Our dogs were in heaven too. We had trouble with the grill, but communication with Kris was excellent.

Great family space!
We had a great time at the Biwabik Bunkhouse! It's conveniently located with easy access to town and Giant's Ridge. The dining area is large, and we loved using the huge gated deck. The views were great, and we enjoyed using the provided kayaks. The hosts were really clear and helpful before we arrived for our stay, which was really a perk! We'd definitely stay again.

Great place. Lots of amenities inside this large house. We used them as the Embarrass river had risen lake water levels too high and we had wake restrictions in place. Everyone in the group was very impressed how nice and well furnished this place was. Two thumbs up.

Perfect Location for Giant's Ridge!
We had a crew from a few places over Minnesota meet up for a race weekend at Giant's Ridge. We were able to all get to spend some much needed time together to catch up, all while having plenty of room for gear and being less than 10 minutes from the hill. We picked this cabin as it was close to Giants Ridge and we couldn't have been happier with the location. Only about 6 minutes away from Giants Ridge. Overall House was great. The upstairs was a nice chill area by the fireplace. While downstairs was a fun hangout spot with the TV and game room along with a bar area and sauna! Overall was a great experience. Hopefully we can make it back again!

Healing and Even Better than Imagined
12 of my friends and I stayed here for my 30th birthday. For many of us, it was our first time at any sort of cabin especially one that was so nice. We've all had a lot going on in our own lives so it was awesome to get away and spend quality time with loved ones. Some of us even cried from joy at one point. The cabin truely exceeded our expectations. Due to being so new to everything it was great that the host was increadibly quick to respond to any and all questions. I would highly recommend staying at this great location.

Great Family Fun
We were 3 families with ages ranging from baby to grandma. We had an amazing time and would definitely come back again. There were PLENTY of indoor spaces for us to hang out. Legos could be played with on the upper floor while baby crawled around in the living room downstairs. Parents could enjoy the sauna and jumping into the icy cold lake. Canoes and Kayaks were easy to put in, and lifejackets were available in all sizes. So many games and things to do indoors, like Ping Pong and Fuseball and old video arcade games. This was helpful since it was rainy on most of the days. A beautiful view of the fall colors!

Had a wonderful family vacation. Grandkids enjoyed the play equipment and all enjoyed the lily pad. Lake was shallow and had a sandy bottom. Pontoon was great for touring the lake and anchoring near the sand bar for swimming. House was perfect for family. Little ones especially enjoyed PacMan!

Had a wonderful stay at this house. Lots to do inside and out, which was great because a few days the weather was not great. Ended up having a ping pong and air hockey tournament. Kids had fun fishing, swimming, and hunting for crawfish. They let us bring our dogs who also enjoyed taking evening pontoon rides and swimming. Again, this was house is amazing.

It was a beautiful, well maintained property! Kris was very responsive and welcoming. There were many things to do inside and outside thanks to great amenities such as paddleboard, kayak, pontoon, shuffleboard, ladder game, bag game. dart board, ping pong, air hockey, foosball! Loved the wrap around deck, the house is a very nice size for a large group. There were 8 of us and we all had our own space. The Master Bedroom Suite was awesome! Loved the whirlpool bath! Lower level was a great space with a beautiful bedroom, bath, theater area, and bar and play area. The huge yard was beautiful. The lake was gorgeous, the kids had a blast swimming, It was very private. we enjoyed the quiet, peaceful beauty surrounding us. The kitchen was fully stocked, the furniture was nice and very comfortable.. We all had a great time (ages from 11 - 69)

Very enjoyable with plenty of space for the entire family. The lake is pretty shallow but very nice to use for canoes and kayaks. The game room wasn’t fun as there wasn’t a fous ball anywhere and the shuffle board had no sand. The electronic dart board also didn’t really work at all.
