The Cabin at Pickle Gulch is centrally located at a gateway to outdoor sports, skiing, hiking, biking and off-road trails, great restaurants and gambling in Black Hawk, and artistic/historical events in Central City. Ample parking is available on the property. The small cabin has hand-hewn oaken floors and craftsman-made counters. Central heat and air conditioning maintains a solid 68° (or your choice) even in the stormiest cold times or sunniest hot days. Large windows on all sides, and especially south-facing, offer long views of meadows, forest, hills, mountains, with blackout curtains for sleeping and privacy. At nearly 9000 feet, you will watch the changing high-altitude weather in comfort and amazement. There is cozy fireside seating by the smart television which offers you Dish cable including local Denver channels for news, sports, weather, plus. Fast Starlink internet allows you to work remotely, enjoy gaming, and use your own streaming services.
The kitchen is complete with all the basics you need to cook meals. The sun-room has a washer/dryer. The two bedrooms each have a queen bed. Organic hemp bedsheets are our choice, paired with comforters, extra blankets and pillows. Coffee of course. The bathroom has an open shower design and amenities.
Two decks, front and back, offer seating, the hot tub, and the barbeque grill. Beyond, a trail on the property lets the pups (on leash) or children walk and explore. The pond is under renovation at this time, (thank you for your understanding- we will finish when the ground unfreezes).
Wildlife is often heard and viewed because right up the gulch lies the Pickle Gulch campground and open spaces with mountain bike and off-road vehicle trails.
This is your spot for a romantic weekend or extended family stay. You have easy highway access to Scenic Highway 119. Take I-70 to zip up to Arapahoe Basin for skiing. Eldora Ski Resort, a great grocery store, and much more, is in nearby Nederland, 23 minutes away.
