Just 2 hours’ drive inland from Sydney, this characterful home-away-from-home is an idyllic retreat for solo travellers, couples, families and pet owners.
The cosy 2-bedroom, 1 bathroom ground floor property is self-contained and private, tucked away to the rear of the owner’s home, offering plenty of room for some well-earned R&R. The family and pet-friendly suite boasts a lounge with smart TV and Netflix, use of unlimited WiFi throughout your stay and there’s a kitchenette equipped for light meal and snack preparation.
An outdoor covered patio area offers the perfect spot to relax with a glass of wine after a day of exploration and a BBQ is available for alfresco dining underneath the stars. A delightful, well-kept garden is laid to lawn with trees and flowers, plus, it is fenced for the safety of children and pets.
The friendly host includes a light breakfast throughout your stay and if you wish to dine out, the bars, restaurants, supermarkets and shops of Blackheath village are just a few minutes away on foot.

Guests can enter the property via the front gate, following the path along the left-hand side of the owner’s cottage. A key will be made available at the entrance to the suite and a code provided prior to arrival.

A very quiet location, close to Blackheath village and Blackheath station - 5 minutes walk. Easy access to all major walks and lookouts together with village shopping and restaurants.

Neighbourhood Description
Blackheath Suite is in a peaceful area close to Centennial Glen Creek with spectacular bush walks accessible at the end of the road and Paul Harris Lookout close by. It’s just a short 5-minute stroll to Blackheath village and Blackheath railway station, meaning amenities are easy to reach, with or without a vehicle.
The village has an array of bars, shops, supermarkets and restaurants, but if you want to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Blue Mountains, take a walk along the scenic Grand Canyon Walking Trail, or head for Govetts Leap Lookout - a stunning observation area with panoramic valley views, picnic tables and a visitor centre.
Dining Out
Although you have access to a BBQ and kitchenette at the suite, you may wish to dine out during your stay. There are several restaurants within a short walk of the property including a pizza takeaway, a global upscale restaurant, Thai restaurant, bakeries and delicatessens.
Getting Around
It’s easy to navigate the area by car, on foot and via bicycle, however, if you don’t wish to drive or don’t feel too energetic, most Blackheath and Blue Mountain tourist attractions can be accessed by taxi or local bus/train.
Blackheath has a train station, 5 minutes’ walk from the property, with regular trains arriving and departing from Bathurst and Lithgow, stopping at Blackheath on route to Redfern Central and vice versa.
Buses also operate within walking distance of the suite; local routes are available and regular coaches arrive in the town from Sydney via Katoomba.
Nearby Activities
Outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers will adore the surrounding areas near Blackheath Suite.
Trek along the Grand Canyon Walking Trail – a 6-kilometre loop track flanked by ferns, sandstone cliffs, waterfalls and rainforests or discover beautiful flowers in season at Campbell Rhododendron Gardens which has some great dog-friendly walks.
Guests can experience majestic sunsets across the Blue Mountains from Govetts Leap or venture as far as scenic Beauchamp Falls deep in the range.
Also nearby are the hidden caves and waterfalls of Centennial Grove Grotto Canyon and you can gain awe-inspiring vistas and amazing photographs from Fort Rock, Paul Harris Lookout and Blackheath Lookout points.
If you prefer to take things a little easier, delve into local history, visit the open-air swimming pool, partake in a spot of horseback riding, a round of golf or head to one of the town’s many picturesque parks for a picnic.
Guests who fancy venturing a little further afield will find the stunning natural attractions of Katoomba just 10 minutes’ drive south of Blackheath.
Arrive early and you can enjoy sunrise from Cahill’s Lookout Point, followed by a visit to Blue Mountains Cultural Centre, Katoomba Falls, Three Sisters Walk and more. There are craft shops and museums in the area, offering the perfect opportunity to pick up a souvenir of your stay or discover history and folklore of the Blue Mountains.
