Lovely, Peaceful, and Relaxing
The well-manicured and maintained property is back away from the road and shaded by large, beautiful oak trees (with a little treehouse the kids loved). We enjoyed watching the cattle roam through the wildflowers in the pasture next door and the semi-private, long driveway was perfect for walks, riding bikes, driving RC cars, and searching for lightning bugs (we saw a few!). The house was charming and had everything we needed. We arrived to milk in the fridge, ice in the freezer, and a basket of snacks on the counter. The bathrooms were well-stocked with fluffy, soft towels and extra toiletries. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were also nice - not flat or lumpy like some hotels. I loved the quirky things that come with old houses - the floors, the doors, the original windows - a few interior doors wouldn’t close all the way, but everything was in good repair and we had no problems. It was really neat to see old pictures of the house and how it has changed! This was the simplest check-in process we’ve had and when I requested to add an extra night and the cottage behind the house just days before our arrival, the host responded very quickly. We had a great time fishing and swimming at Blanco State Park (8 minutes away), exploring LBJ State Park (a gorgeous 30 minute drive), and touring Natural Bridge Caverns (about 45 minutes away). Overall, a great experience!

Beautiful old farm cottage in the heart of Hill Country, Texas. Great base for day trips to area towns. Host generosity provided breakfast treats and coffee. Very charming country deco on a beautiful property. We will be back.

The house was very clean and comfortable. The location was convenient to Blanco. We appreciated the homemade cinnamon rolls in the fridge, but unfortunately didn’t have time to bake them. We will definitely be booking again.

The property is beautiful and quiet with a great patio and lawn. The house is welcoming and comfortable. And the hosts were great, communicating well and leaving us treats to enjoy. And when our dog caused some damage to their house (sorry again!) they were very understanding and helped us resolve it with no drama.

Cozy Cottage in the Texas Hill Country
Peaceful atmosphere. Cute house with antique decor. When you walk in you feel like you just took a walk back in time. Really cool vintage style bathtubs. Huge backyard. My family really enjoyed our stay. Only thing we disliked was the way the local water tasted. If you are not from the area bring bottled water!

very nice home
We had quite an adventure staying in Blanco, Texas decided to have one of the worst ice storms in 100 years and we lost our electricity and heat but our wonderful hosts brought us firewood for the amazing huge fireplace and a generator so we were able to have some electric and water. The house is beautiful country home and we will love to go back soon! Thank you again for taking care of us!!!

Super cute, roomy and secure place
Loved that the house was at the end of a private drive and had a fence around the yard. There was zero anxiety in letting the kids play outside by themselves and I never worried about them. All the beds were comfortable. There was enough space for everyone in our party of eight (we did rent the cottage as well). Everything was well stocked. The claw foot tub was very enjoyable and relaxing. And my daughter loved it too! My MIL, who uses a Walker to get around, could move easily around the space. And the stairs getting into the house (front and back) were wide enough she felt secure going up and down them with the assistance of one of her sons. The one and only, not all that significant dislike was that the water tasted funny to us. But that was easily remedied with purchasing jugs of water and a bag of ice.

A great farmhouse stay
Greatly enjoyed our stay in Blanco. The property is exactly as depicted, spotlessly clean, and a wonderful place to hang out. We loved the back patio area and greatly appreciated the coffee that was provisioned. The property is very private down a long driveway and neighbors a ranch where cows may visit you through the fence, which we loved. Connie was great to communicate with, super responsive and a wonderful host. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely, quiet retreat
We could hear birds, cows, and the wind in the trees...that is whenever our kids weren't laughing and playing loudly outside. It's a lovely old farmhouse, we appreciate the claw foot tubs, wooden floors, and large windows. The owners quickly responded to questions, the house had sufficient kitchenware for a week long stay of 7 people, and the property is simply wonderful (old pecan trees, stone and picket fencing, a tree-house!).

Nice classic feeling property, with a lot of amenities. Sumptuous back patio area with lots of shade for sitting and relaxing in the afternoons and evenings. Comfortable beds, and common areas. Quiet spot in the country, but close to the river and Fredericksburg, which is exactly what we were looking for. Will definitely visit again. 10/10

Peaceful Sanctuary
We stayed at this beautiful property while in Blanco for a family member's funeral. Connie, our host, was very good with communication and was quick to answer my many questions. This house was perfect for us and a place where we could experience some peace and quiet after a very long drive in, one long day of preparation, and the long, emotional day of the funeral. It was so nice to come back to this beautiful, restful place each day and unwind. I sat on one of the couches and watched hummingbirds right outside the window. Lots of birds in the morning singing in the trees. We were so appreciative for the delicious homemade cinnamon rolls from our host, Connie, waiting for us in the fridge. It made a perfect breakfast for the first morning. The Keurig and coffee pods were a great touch and there was even creamer in the fridge! The decor is so quaint and perfect for this farmhouse. I loved all of it and enjoyed looking at all of the antiques; so many thoughtful touches to make this home comfortable. The 2 queen bedrooms are a good size and share a nice bathroom with a good soaking tub that has a shower attachment. The king bedroom is very spacious and has a fireplace and a TV. The king bed was very comfortable, which was so nice. This bedroom has an attached bathroom with a spacious shower and a soaking tub. Lots of room to get ready and well-appointed plugs near the sink. The hair dryer that was provided worked great and was nice to have. We also used the iron and ironing board provided. I can't think of anything this house didn't have that we needed. There was Direct TV, books to read, and several games to play. The house has central air which really cooled the house well, and the master bedroom also has a window unit that helped keep that room extra cool. It was too hot to enjoy the outside seating area in the back, but it was very nice. I would love to come back here in the Fall and under better circumstances just to enjoy the house and property again. There was also a tree house in the front and plenty of parking in a spacious driveway. I recommend this place for families or a girl's trip. Thank you, Connie, for being so kind.

Relaxing Hill Country Experience
We had a really great experience at this property. Cozy, comfortable, charming, quiet, beautiful setting. Well furnished. Wife and daughter loved the tubs. Surrounded by grazing cattle. Deer frequent property. Heard turkey behind house. Night sky full of stars. Reminds us of a simpler time. Good memories made! Blanco very charming. Be sure to go to A300 for BBQ and Josies Kitchen for sandwiches and breakfast. From Mt. Pleasant SC.
