McKenzie River Cozy Cabin Too

Our small studio cabin on the Mckenzie River is perfect for 2-3 guests. This rustic cabin has been fixed up and includes a bit of the old and new, including new beds, convertible sofa, TV with streaming services and DVD.

A small kitchenette with a 2 burner cooktop, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, blender, and full-size sink works for basic meal prep (please note there is no oven.)

The small bath works for a few guests and offers a shower, small vanity, and plenty of towels for 3 guests.

The main room has a new king bed and mattress next to a wood-burning stove. The other side of the cabin offers a small room with a convertible sofa, armchair, and TV wth streaming services connected to WiFi. The sofa converts to a bed (best for people under 6 feet tall) and there are extra sheets and blankets. 

Outside there is a large elevated and covered deck with a close view of the river. The riverbank is steps away for soaking your feet or casting a line.

This is one of 2 small cabins that are next to each other on the property. They can be rented individually or together. Each cabin has its own parking, wood deck, and outdoor space.

Everything is excellent, especially the outdoor experience. We enjoyed the fire pit and the convenient location to the warm springs (wild onsen nearby). The grocery store and gas station within minutes of drive. The only thing that could be better is the aged sofa bed. The metal frame in the middle made it difficult to sleep on. And we need to find the bedding in the storage. By the way, no much clearance around the toilet, still manageable. And if you enjoy outdoor hot tub, remember to book cabin 1 rather than 2. (the one in Cabin 2 is like a small water tough for single person.)

Nice cabin!
This property is perfect for two people. It is nicely furnished with a lovely deck. The kitchenette is surprisingly well stocked, but a little bistro table for eating would be a nice addition when it is too cold to eat outside. The unit could use a little TLC as many of the blinds are broken and the front door lock doesn't work. Great overall, though!

This cute little cabin was warm, cozy and the perfect place to celebrate 21-years of marriage...The River View was unbeatable, and the big cabin windows framed the flowing McKenzie River perfectly. This cabin was also secluded and off the road, and very Per friendly.

This secluded property is perfect for one or two…we loved how private it was and it’s location. The small fridge, microwave, and two burner cooktop were perfect for our needs. The bathroom is quite small…my 6’1 ft, 215 lb husband found it to be a tight fit but doable. Greg was quick to respond to any question we had. We would love to return!

Adorable cabin on the McKenzie River
Such a cute, cozy place with an amazing view of the river. Very serene and beautiful. There was a perfect amount of space for two of us. Yes, a few extra amenities (like paper towels, Kleenex, and wine glasses) would have topped it off, but we managed. Great location to venture out from to the area’s activities (Terwilliger Hot Springs, Blue Pool, Cougar Reservoir, rafting, etc). We had a very enjoyable anniversary celebration here. Thank you!

A wonderful place for the people with simple needs. The cabin is just as described, very pleasant and serene. Probably best for just two people who don't mind a small bathroom and narrow shower (plenty of hot water). As avid hikers, we loved exploring the nearby McKenzie River Recreation Trail and McKenzie Pass (very glad that the cabin came with a stretching pad and foam roller). We knew from the property description and from emails with the host that grocery shopping would not be convenient. We had enough food for our breakfasts and snacks and ate other meals out. We only needed dinner locally for one of our four nights there, and were lucky that both nearby restaurants happened to be open on that night (both restaurants were very good). We loved the outside dining table and luckily had enough warm clothing for the cool mornings.

This little cozy cabin is amazing! Thank you Greg and Allison so much for sharing your space with us! I had a glitch with my navigation and we ended up at the wrong address (oops!). Greg immediately responded when I called and was so helpful in getting us to the right place. Beautiful property and the river is so close and peaceful to listen to! Super comfy bed, nice color scheme, and the kitchen had so many gadgets I wasn’t expecting! Thanks again, for our stay :)

Respite on the River in the Trees
I wanted / needed a respite from urban living and stresses of my job, and this rental fit the bill entirely. As others noted, there isn't a full kitchen in this cabin, but there was a coffee maker, microwave, small fridge and a hotplate. I had breakfast and a lunch snack "at home" and ate at one of the local restaurants for dinner. The property is hard to find, but that's a plus, right? I spent tons of time on the covered deck, taking advantage of the excellent wifi or reading. My dog was a welcome companion; she loved her introduction to the river (I brought my own "dog towels" as required!). In the evening, I binged on Hulu shows under a fleecy throw or read my book. It was too bad I was there during a burn ban, because it got chilly overnight and I would have loved to stoke the wood stove, however the electric wall unit took the bite off the chill. As someone who works with a nonprofit that provides architectural services for people who have lost their homes to wildfire, I completely understand about the importance of producing zero flames, sparks, or embers during fire season. I'll definitely plan to stay again, either solo, or ideally with others who would rent out the adjacent cabin (which does have a full kitchen).

Secluded Forest Cabin
Lovely property on the rushing River. Probably better for a couple, or a group to rent both sides of both cabins as the covered patios are great and it’s in the dense forest. I traveled alone, and felt a bit isolated. No market or restaurants out that far on Hwy 126. A small group with planned meals could have an amazing adventure. Interior very clean & comfortable (no oven). Can hear River rapids from bed.

cute cabin
this was our first time using VRBO and we really enjoyed the cabin. the property was in clean up mode it looked like, lots of fallen trees and debris. there was a nice path to our cabin and it was well lit for night time dog potty trips. great view from the deck. the cabin was super clean inside and had a lot of amenities. you could hear and see the river from the cabin. would defiantly recommend to friends that want to hike around the McKenzie river area. there was one trail for both cabins to get to the river. with a small flat area if one person wanted to fish. Very serine.

Hotsprings vacation cabin
Overall it suited our needs. However, the fridge was very small. There was no full size range or oven. They did supply a portable, plug in, 2 pan range. The TV was in the room with a couch, but it was cold in that room away from the fireplace. Our intentions were the hotsprings, so it worked for us.
