„This was our 2nd time staying at this beautiful cabin. Everything was cozy and comfortable. Location is the best. Lovely short drives to Blowing Rock, Valle Cruicis, Banner Elk and of course downtown Boone. Even the grocery store and restaurants are close by. Staying at the cabin itself was perfect to relax and unplugg from everyday life. The owner is very prompt and courteous with communicating. I hope to return again! “

„We loved our stay at The Ivy. With three bedrooms and three full bath, it was perfect for a girls trip. Everything about the house was comfortable and modern, from the beds, to living area, and kitchen/dining, Each room is very nicely decorated and loved that each bed had a warm duvet comforter on it. Thank you Elizabeth for hosting us in your beautiful home. We will be back soon!“

„Lovely home with beautiful deck and water falls right out the door. So close to lots of quaint little towns, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, Boone, Beech Mountain, we relaxed and did jigsaw puzzles and enjoyed good company in a wonderful peaceful environment “

„The history of the property, the craftsmanship of the build, the accommodations, the cleanliness and attention to detail as well as the location are all 10 out of 10. We were very blessed to happen upon it by chance and made an excellent weekend get away for our wedding anniversary. We would definitely stay here again and really enjoyed it!“

„Stayed for a long weekend with our college kids (age 18 & 20).The house was set up perfectly for us. The kids had plenty of space on the bottom floor with their own living room, full bathroom and bedroom. The kitchen was fully stocked & made cooking very easy. Plenty of space for us all in the living room with 4 seating areas. The deck and upper loft bedroom had the best sunrise views! Driveway was a little steep but we were able to access it with our non-4 wheel drive SUV. Overall, a great stay ...

„The location worked out so well. We wanted to spend extra time prior to an App State admissions tour and this was close to so many trails, antiquing and King Street. We loved sitting on the deck in the mornings. You can’t go wrong with this house.“

I had higher expectations...

"I had slightly higher expectations before arriving at the hotel. The check-in staff were fine, but I was hoping for a bit more of that Southern hospitality. When we got to our room, we noticed a lot of noise from the road, so we went back down to request a room change, which they handled without any issues—this was fantastic. The room itself was quite nice, with a very comfortable bed, though the bathroom was a bit small but functional. I also want to highlight the number and quality of the towels, which were excellent. Unfortunately, we didn’t enjoy the breakfast much. It was impossible to avoid single-use plastic, which, as Europeans, we find difficult due to the amount of waste it generates. The dining area also felt a bit drab and uninviting. Another downside was the housekeeping. Despite requesting, confirming, and leaving the sign on the door for daily cleaning, we returned one evening to find that no one had come to clean the room, which was disappointing."

"The worst breakfast on our Tour. Syrup empty, hot water empty, waffle batter empty, Toaster did not work and the Service Lady was „on the Phone or somewhere“. But the Young man from the reception Desk tried his Best to compensate the Situation. Rooms & beds were Fine."
