Here is a copy & pasted letter that was sent to Metro Hospitality and was never replied to after 2 months of attempting to work out with property management first:
The purpose of this letter is to kindly request a refund of at least the cleaning fee. The rental was not clean, and we felt quite
uncomfortable throughout our stay because of the lack of cleanliness. This unit needs special attention before you have more renters stay, this was not acceptable, particularly during a global pandemic
surge.
Here is a list of items we must draw your attention to:
Bathroom – we did not and would not bathe our child in that bathtub. We wouldn’t even
shower in it barefoot; I borrowed my husband’s shower sandals.
o We found clumps of red hair in the shower next to the faucet handle, on the soap shelf,
and other areas. My husband had to clean off the shower shelf to put our bar of soap
down.
Both closets look like old rags were just thrown in and a bomb went off in both. There was no organization or neatness in either closet. There was no set of sheets for us to use for the fold down couch for our daughter to sleep on. This was especially frustrating as we didn’t check in until almost 3:00am due to our plane arriving an hour later than scheduled.
o The spare pillow in the closet was not clean.
The silverware drawer is full of crumbs, none of the bare selection of silverware was clean.
Every dish, cup, silverware, and even the coffee maker all had to be cleaned before we could use them.
The theater-style recliners were very nice except the cupholders in the middle were full of crumbs and a spilled, sticky dried liquid. They need to be moved & vacuumed underneath, it's disgusting under there.
There are no clean, new sponges to use to wash kitchenware or a dish drying rack/area.
The pressed wood furniture had a film of dust over each one. Whoever is “cleaning” this unit needs to go all over the unit with a vacuum before deep cleaning it.
I’m going to hope for the best that the bedding on the bed was clean, but we never quite felt comfortable that it was knowing the condition of the rest of condo.
I will say the layout of the unit and the curtains were nice. The appliances worked well. I would only stay at this unit again if we were assured that some significant steps were taken to sanitize and deep clean this condo.
