The first thing about this property is the location. It is easy to get to, and right on Lake Michigan. The road is paved, there is room for more than 2 cars in the driveway (we had 2). The proximity to the Little Traverse Wheelway- bike path is conveniently located at the end of the street. We brought bikes and enjoyed the path. You can ride from Charlevoix to Petoskey and are located virtually in the middle. The home is very well stocked, there was plenty of things like paper towel, toilet paper, hand soap, dish soap, and trash bags. The home has a kayak, 2 paddle boards and the lifejackets you need to use them in a variety of sizes. The beach is rocky (great Petoskey and Charlevoix stones to be found) so water shoes were a must. The star gazing is magnificent at night and the bird watching during the day was very good too. We saw many birds including a barn owl, a Pileated woodpecker, tufted titmouse, swans, geese, ducks, along with rabbits and a coyote!
We enjoyed sitting on the deck, playing in the water, going into town, and some great bonfires at night.
The beds were comfortable, the space was great- the adults as well as the 7&10yo enjoyed the ping pong table in the lower level.
The bbqs look like they need a little loving, but we were able to grill on the charcoal grill.
We had one small issue which the owner responded to immediately and had resolved within an hour.
Every one of our group of 8 (6 adults and 2 young children) throroughly enjoyed our stay.
