Here are the things we recommend to do near Brisbane City:
1. When it comes to good coffee, The City Centre is ready to greet you with quality and specialty cafes using the latest and greatest brewing methods. Start your day with one of the best brews in Brisbane. We recommend Brew, Coffee Iconic, Coffee Anthology, or Industry Beans. If you need a hearty brekky to go with your coffee, here are a few of our favorite spots.

2. Shop up a storm
The City is a fashion lover's dream destination with more than 500 stores ranging from local boutiques to international, high street, and luxury brands. Start in the Centre at Brisbane’s largest open-air shopping precinct, the famous Queen Street Mall where hundreds of stores await. If you're looking for something specific, we’ve pulled together a guide to shopping in the heart of Brisbane City.

3. Visit Brisbane City Markets
Pick up some fresh goodies ahead of the weekend or conveniently ‘forget your lunch and visit one of the tasty food stalls for a mid-week treat. The Brisbane City Markets pop up in Reddacliff Place every Wednesday from 8 am to 6 pm and in Cathedral Square every Thursday from 8 am to 2 pm.

4. Relax in the botanic gardens
Gather the family, pack a picnic rug, and spend a lazy afternoon in the sunshine, or pop on your walking shoes and stroll along the river on your lunch break. Whatever your style, the City Botanic Gardens is Brisbane’s original botanic garden and offers a relaxing green space where you can chill on the lawn or wander the many pathways and themed gardens.

5. Visit the Museum of Brisbane
Be captivated by the stories of Brisbane through the Museum of Brisbane’s curated exhibitions that feature local artists and the culture and history of The City. The gift shop is a must-visit for Brisbane-made and Brisbane-designed treasures by local artisans.

The Brisbane Twilight Markets pop up about once every two months. Dates are scattered throughout the year, so check the website for updates.

7. Spend a day on the river
Take in the beautiful sights of our river city at twilight from your own illuminated Riverlife kayak. When you return to the shore feast on buckets of fresh ocean king prawns and jaw-dropping views of The City. Are boats more your thing? Set sail on an electric GoBoat and enjoy an on-water picnic.

8. Get jazzy at Doo-Bop Bar Brisbane
Get your jazz fix at one of Brisbane’s best music bars Doo-Bop Bar, with over 50 free and ticketed live music sets scheduled each month. Nothing soothes the soul like some smooth tunes.

9. Eat at an award-winning restaurant
The City is home to some of the best fine dining in Queensland. Try Malt Dining, Donna Chang, Walter’s Steakhouse, or Alchemy Restaurant and Bar.

Fortitude Valley
Fortitude Valley has always marched to the beat of its own drum. It was Australia’s first dedicated entertainment district and continues to celebrate live music, with a nightlife that sees Brunswick Street Mall’s population of bars and clubs buzzing well into the early hours.

Fortitude Valley’s James Street is a cultural staple with a top-tier fashion precinct, home to boutiques from both local and international designers and brands. Even more alluring is the stylish strip’s eateries, which harbor some of Brisbane’s best restaurants like Bianca, Hellinka, and sAme sAme just to name a few.

The Wharves
On any given day from dusk until dawn, Howard Smith Wharves is buzzing. Ever evolving, you’re spoilt for choice with 13 restaurants, award-winning brewery Felons Brewing Co, vibrant cafes, trendy bars, themed pop-up bars, and even a luxurious hotel, Crystalbrook Vincent.

NO PARTY RULES and QUIET HOURS

Our house is not suitable for parties and events. The neighbor will call either me, our local security patrol, or the police if the noise is excessive after 10 PM.

We had issues with guests using our house for parties before and Airbnb has helped us to install a noise monitor (For more info please search MINUT online) in our outdoor area. It is camera-free and simply monitors sound levels in the area. It does not listen in on conversations or capture any data. This device is fully integrated with AIRBNB and when excessive noise (over 80 dBs) is detected during our quiet hour (10 pm - 8 am second day), an alarm will be sent off to you through Airbnb to remind you to keep the noise down and move your activities inside our home. If the noise persists, I will try to contact you first and resolve any issues with you. If I cannot reach you or the noise persists after our call, the local safety patrol or police will be informed and further actions will be taken.

We usually need at least a day to arrange cleaning and inform our cleaners of special check-in requirements. If you have made a same-day booking, we cannot ensure you a 3 pm check-in. EARLY CHECK-IN REQUESTS

Unlike hotels, we do not have an onsite cleaning service, and our cleaners typically schedule their visits a day in advance. Our standard check-in time is 3 PM to ensure our home is thoroughly cleaned and ready for your stay. If you need an early check-in, please contact me at least a day before your planned arrival, and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee any early check-in requests on the day of your arrival. Thank you in advance for your understanding!

LATE CHECK-OUT REQUESTS

We understand that sometimes you enjoy your stay so much that you’d like to extend it a little longer! However, since we often have guests arriving the same day you check out and we don't have alternative rooms, all late check-out requests must be made until a day (until MIDDAY only) before your departure. This ensures our cleaners have ample time to prepare the home for the next guests.

Unfortunately, we will not accommodate late check-out requests on the day of your departure. Without a late check-out confirmation, our cleaners will begin their work at 10 AM and will have access to the property for housekeeping.
