Malerische Flucht Tippecanoe River

Dieses Haus am Ufer des Flusses Tippecanoe hängt wie ein Baumhaus in der Luft und bietet einen optimalen Blick auf den Fluss. Das Haus und der Fluss bieten Freizeit- und lebhafte Aktivitäten: Es gibt einen üppigen Blumengarten, eine abgeschirmte Veranda, Außenterrassen, Schaukeln, Schläuche, Surfen auf Stühlen (Flussfaulenzen), Angeln, Wandern, Vogelbeobachtung, Spiele, Lagerfeuer, Spaziergänge in der Natur erwähne ein paar. Komm, sei in der Wildnis. Ein Flussbewohner und unversehrter Nachbar, der Graureiher, erregt unwissentlich die Aufmerksamkeit eines Raumes, auch wenn er nur vorbeifliegt. Ein Spaziergang zu einer der Inseln oder über den Fluss ist immer eine lustige und manchmal knifflige Aktivität. Der Tippecanoe River ist zweieinhalb Fuß hoch in normaler Höhe. Es gibt eine Meile Schleife, die Sie durch die Nachbarschaft führt, für diese Wanderer und Läufer.

Die offene Küche blickt auf das Wohn- und Esszimmer und ist somit der zentrale Mittelpunkt des Hauses. Die Betonterrasse unter dem Haus ist das ganze Jahr über ein toller Treffpunkt ... Sonne, Regen, Gewitter. Dieses Haus ist ein tolles Refugium.

Dies ist kein Partyhaus. Keine Junggesellenabschiede. Keine lauten Geräusche oder Brände nach Mitternacht durch nahe Nachbarn. Die Menschen leben am Tippecanoe River. Bitte respektiere sie und dieses wunderschöne Land, das wir alle teilen.

Es gibt ein Loft (3. Schlafzimmer / 2. Bad), das gegen eine zusätzliche Gebühr von 100 USD / Nacht gemietet werden kann.

Beautiful location but no hot water or AC!
First of all let me say that this home's setting is beautiful and relaxing. It feels like a treehouse over the river. So we definitely enjoyed that part. The house itself is adequate. It's clearly been partially renovated. Furniture is dated but clean. Kitchen is old but functional. Mattress wasn't great. However, there were two MAJOR issues during our trip that the owner failed to deal with. He eventually stopped returning my messages entirely. 1. AC wasn't working the whole of our 3 day trip and daytime highs were in the 90s. Because nighttime got into the 60s we could open the windows. The house did cool down eventually. Owner said "sorry" but that was it. No one was called out to check on the unit. 2. The hot water heater quit completely our second day (and was only tepid the first day.) The owner told us to push the reset button, but it didn't work. Water was ice cold by the last half of our visit, which I messaged the owner about and received zero response. Because the house was warm we could manage the cold showers, but really?! These two items are BASICS that every rental should have (at least the hot water!) We received no follow up messages from the owner and no offer of any type of refund or restitution. The property listed AC as a feature, but not for us. We have rented many many VRBO and other brand rentals in the past all around the country and have never had something like this happen. I wouldn't call this a cheap rental. But it felt like camping. Not good!

Beautiful river views from cabin living room!
We had a good stay at this renovated cabin with beautiful river views. As shown in pictures, the living space of cabin is above the ground a full flight of stairs. We enjoyed watching wildlife. Bald eagles, hawks, heron, deer crossing river, and more. Our dog enjoyed watching the river and wildlife too. The beds were very comfortable and the A/C worked well. Plenty of comfortable seating and appreciated the large dining table as we were doing some wedding prep (for nephew) and needed extra table space. The internet is helpful as we had little or no cell signal at the cabin. There is a landline as well which we didn’t use but really appreciated that the owner made available. This is a beautiful area that we hope to explore more in the future.

Amazing Location
This house is right on the water and is a great location if you want to fish and watch the river pass you by. Plenty of space to spread out and a large kitchen for cooking meals. We used the charcoal grill to cook some meals and hung out on the covered patio during the day. Cell service is non-existent when you get within a couple miles of the house so be sure you know where you are going. We didn't realize the address shows up in VRBO after the checkin time so we missed it and spent a couple hours in the dark looking for the house (which cannot be seen from the road). We tried contacting the owner but he either didn't get the message or didn't reply. Eiher way we finally found it and it was a very peaceful and perfect place for our trip.

2nd time enjoying this beauty!
We enjoyed our beautiful nature stay. Deer out front crossing the river. Bald eagles all up and down the river. We spent 2 days on the river from the dam to the bridge just past the house. the river was a little low this time but still a doable trip. we will defiantly be back. we all love this place.

Good alternative
It was a good stay overall. We were in the area to visit our daughter for family weekend at Purdue. We only stayed here as an alternative because there were no hotels near the Purdue campus available. The inside was clean. A little outdated and unfinished in spots, but the seclusion and view was nice. It was about 30 minutes from West Lafayette campus, but not bad. Overall it met our needs and we enjoyed our stay with no issues.

This place is such a find. The river is shallow and easily accessible for fishing or wading. House is spacious and has everything you would need, including board games. No tv is a nice break for our kids and I loved the quiet! Also something to note...there are ZERO mosquitos!!! We brought bug spray and literally never used it! We will surely be back!

Fabulous cabin getaway
The tippecanoe is so much fun for kids and adults to play in. We spent hours playing with the rocks, we even saw a soft shelled turtle on the water! The cabin is very comfortable, clean a relaxing. If I’m ever in this area again I would not hesitate to come back here! Beautiful place!

Beautiful Views
We had a great time! The house has a really gorgeous view— especially with all the windows. Our kids loved heading across to the island for a nature stomp. I loved hanging out on the patio reading. My husband fished and kayaked. There was something for everyone. Delphi has a near pioneer village and Lafayette has a little zoo and water parks. Plenty do at the house or beyond.

Relaxing River Paradise
The Large, airy house is clean and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. The best part? A beautiful view of the Tippecanoe River flowing by a couple of small islands. This is our 3rd or 4th stay and we’re planning for next year already.

Relaxing and Quiet
The property is out of view of the road and neighbors were quiet. It may not be a good place for small children. Lots of steps with living quarters a high height from ground. It was great for a restful, quiet time for adults. The view of the river going by is spectacular.

Delightfully quirky home with stunning river view!
The delightful setting on the river is maximized by floor-to ceiling sliding door windows on two of the living room walls. We loved watching the birds on the river. Geese, ducks, herons and eagles were all seen. A quick, scenic drive took us to the campus of Purdue University where we attended my son’s graduation. The quiet neighborhood was great for a walk, and the people were all friendly. I would definitely stay there again.

Nice location
While this property has a beautiful location thats about all that can be said about it. It has a beautiful view. The amenities listed are useless. Fireplace was broken. Fire pit had no wood available. We asked before going and were told by vrbo who asked owner if wood was available. Response was there was wood in the garage. Four pieces. Lighting is aweful. Furniture is dated badly. When we arrived we spent an hour cleaning cobwebs off if everything outside before you we could sit on anything. It got cool a couple nights and when you turn in heat the main bedroom becomes dantes inferno. There was dirt and sick and game pieces from previous guests under the couch. Then before we were an hour away the owner contacted us to tell us we damaged his concrete and were being charged an additional fees. We damaged nothing. He refuses to send pictures. Be weary of this property

This was a beautiful property! The view was perfect! The home was very clean and had everything we needed. Some of the furniture could use some upgrading but there is plenty of it to seat everyone. There were no bugs making enjoying the porch even better. It's a lovely place.

Beautiful house
Perfect house. Nicely decorated,clean and comfortable. The views-to say it is beautifull it doesnt describe it! Even the pictures do not show it fully ,its just wow! The river sounds right out the balcony -so relaxing! Kitchen had everything you needed to coock meals,big dining table for family dinners and games.lots of games in the cabinet to choose from! Nice books to!Beds were comfortable . My family loved this house and the location so much ,we will be definately comming back and staying longer next time! A bit disappointing
There is a beautiful view of the river and nature. Grounds are well kept. Needs some attention on the outside of house. Furniture is very dated inside and out, the water pressure is quite low. We are In our 60’s so not used to no television either especially for a 2 week Stay.
