„We stayed here for a couple nights during the week in August. Everything was great. We had a fun time using the Kayaks and sitting down by the dock. It’s a small lake but was perfect for the kids to Kayak. The he house was clean and the neighbor we met was very nice. Perfect for a mid week getaway for my wife and kids and another couple and their daughter. “

The Hansons are great hosts and were easy to message with and answered any questions we had about our stay. „I use to come here when I was a little girl. We stayed directly across the lake from my grandpas place.. Mike and Sue were extremely pleasant. Made us feel very comfortable. I would very much recommend this place! We are looking forward to our next vacation here“

„This cabin was great. Awesome location, so much to do in the area and on the surrounding land. The Wabash trail and Tiffin River are right out the back door. The house is very well equipped for all cooking. Great living area with plenty of seating and comfortable beds. We will certainly be back!“

We usually stay with my mom when we visit for the holidays but this time an elderly aunt got mom’s guest room so we debated as to either getting a hotel room for multiple days or a VRBO. I am very glad we chose staying at The General’s Quarters. It is a cozy place, with a lot of references to General Anthony Wayne, the inevitable founder of Defiance, OH. A perfect place for two or a family to stay at when visiting this city of 20,000 in NW OH.“

„Our family had a wonderful time! The home was beautiful, even better than the pictures. The entire home is well thought out and has everything you could need in the kitchen. We loved sitting around the fire pit each evening. Our days were spent in the water. Swimming, using the provided rafts and kayaks. We had a truly relaxing and enjoyable time! Mike and Sue were kind and quick to respond with any questions we had. We would highly recommend this home! “

„Good - It was cheap, clean towels. Overall, was what expected for the price. Bad - room was "non-smoking" but had ashtray and about midnight cigarette smoke was rolling under the adjoining doorway from the office...had to get up and pile bath towels around base of door to try and minimize the stank.
