„When I think of primitive I think of a tent and sleeping bags and a trip to outhouses or a private spot to do your business. Cabins in a Clearing is a step up; though the bathroom arrangements are as described above. There are porta potties but quite away from two of the three cabins. That isn't fun. „The cabin was nice but i booked 2 days and only got to stay for one. I wasnt sent the info to get in (acess code) and couldn't get in contact with them until the 2nd day. Vrbo couldnt either. They told me i would get reimbursed but still have not. They were nice on the phone once i finally got in contact with them but the not being reimbursed due to them not allow me access in a timely fashion and having to book a hotelfor that first night really just kinda bothers me still.“

„We had such a unique experience at our rustic cabin. We were greeted by a horse, dogs, chickens, and more! Michelle, the owner went out of her way to make sure that all of our needs were met. „Overall we had a nice stay. Clean, quiet and nice location in the small town of Nelsonville. Only comment on advice related to breakfast is get there when it's planned to start as there's a set amount of food and that is it. Food was good but we were a little late getting to the first come first serve style. But overall was a very nice stay.“

„We had a great time. The cabin is near tons of outdoor activities like hiking and swimming. Hocking Hills is beautiful. The cabin was very clean and the host went above and beyond with hospitality. There are tons of extras like a water cooler with hot water on tap, coffee, creamer, even marshmallow roasters. If you are looking for something between camping and staying at a hotel then this cabin is perfect. You can have a camp fire in the evening and still enjoy air conditioning. Highly recommend ...

„My daughter, and sister stayed at the Hyde House for one night before heading to Hocking Hills to hike. The Bed and Breakfast was clean, and quiet. Unfortunately, we were not able to stay for breakfast, as we got an early start to Hocking Hills the next morning. The breakfast smelled delicious, and the staff was courteous.“

We pretty much had the place to ourselves as no one but guests stay on the property. Other guests arrived after midnight but we never saw them. „You won’t get claustrophobia here - open, rustic decor, feels a bit like a really big, cool man cave. Two games could use some attention — small version of foosball needs repaired or replaced; the bumper pool table needs nuts to hold down the bumpers; the jute box needs repairing as well. „10/10 Couldn’t give this place a better review!!! It was exactly what we were looking for with amazing views, cozy but spacious cabin, and plenty of things to do in the area! Our 2 dogs had a blast checking out the massive yard out front and we saw TONS of wildlife. Each day was perfectly wrapped up with a cookout on the grill, a fire going and star gazing in the hot tub. „This was super cute and cozy, we wanted to get away for weekend anniversary and not kill the bank account. Very quiet relaxing, little trail behind it was nice as well. „Stayed for the weekend during Nelsonville Music Festival. Cozy set-up. Fire pit, hot tub, hammock posts all made for a relaxing stay. Just make sure that when you Google or Waze directions, you search for "Hidden Gem Cabins"... If you only enter the address, Google may take you 1/2 mile or so down the road. Property manager helped get us back on track. If you're going to be in and out, I recommend downloading an offline map of the area since service can be spotty (service at the cabin was good).“
