„All in all me and my partner loved our short stay away in a beautiful shepherds hut. It was out of the way and so peaceful, i’d definitely stay here again. The only thing that let it down was the door latches and there was a gap in the bathroom door. “

„Stayed for one night while attending a Christmas party at a nearby farm shop. Suzanne was very welcoming when we arrived showing us where everything was. The cottage was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The rooms were clean, warm and welcoming with everything you needed, breakfast was delicious and we would highly recommend this little gem of a place. “

„If you are looking to stay in a traditional English Pub, this is the place. Cozy rooms with great washroom facilities. Very clean and comfortable beds. Rooms are equipped with electricity outlets, wifi and tv for those needing it. The pub itself is fantastic with a very well stocked bar. The restaurant serves home cooked meals with a great selection of local produce. From this location you are pretty central to either coast and Dartmoor itself. „It’s such a lovely place, a historic building surrounded by beautiful gardens. The evening I arrived I went for a hike to the nearest tor. The foot path starts right across the street and takes you up to wonderful views of the countryside in just 20 min! My room had a big bath tub and I took a long bath after the hike. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. Loved every moment of my stay. “

„Unser Zimmer hatte leider keinen Balkon und keinen Blick aufs Meer, darauf sollte man bei der Buchung unbedingt achten. Aber das Personal und die Atmosphäre im Hotel war super. Haben abends sehr gut dort gegessen und dabei gemütlich den Sonnenuntergang genossen. Das Frühstück war auch prima. Am allerbesten war allerdings die Lage direkt am Strand.“

„Hostess was there to great us, she is a lovely lady and very pet friendly. Opened up breakfast just for us, both mornings, plenty to eat and option to have cooked breakfast, for a charge, if wanted. Room was lovely, double bed and single bed, very comfortable and spacious. No complaints at all! “

"Das Hotel liegt zentral im Ort Ilfracombe. Egal ob man auf dem Coast Trail wandern möchte, im Ort ins Restaurant will, bei Lidl einkaufen oder zu Hafen: Es ist alles fußläufig. Parken kann man kostenlos in den Seitenstraßen, wenn man bereit ist ca. 1 km weit zu laufen oder sich etwas länger auf die Parkplatzsuche zu begeben. Das Hotel selbst ist sauber aber renovierungsbedürftig. Unser Zimmer war preiswert aber dafür klein und mit Blick auf einen Innenhof (daher sehr ruhig). Das Hotelpersonal war sehr freundlich. Das Hotel selbst wird überwiegend von Golden Agers besucht. Dementsprechend ist auch die Live Musik am Abend ;-) Dank Lidl um die Ecke haben wir auf Verpflegung im Hotel verzichtet."
