The Space:
Buffalo Plains Tiny House by Tiny Away is located in the quiet neighborhoods of Buffalo, just two hours away from Melbourne. A cozy accommodation carefully situated on the property's north side, nestled in the bush on the edge of a paddock, with amazing bushland views, a countryside ambiance, and friendly goats to keep you company.
Discover coastal adventures just a quick 20-25 minute drive away. Venus Bay boasts pristine beaches ideal for swimming, surfing, and fishing. Waratah Bay offers quiet, secluded shores with stunning views of Wilsons Promontory National Park. Sandy Point is famous for its vast sand dunes and thrilling opportunities for windsurfing, kiteboarding, and water sports.
Whether you seek relaxation on serene beaches or excitement in the water, these coastal gems have something for everyone to enjoy.
It's a 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. This includes an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and shower (gas-heated for hot showers).
If you plan to spend your farm stay Victoria getaways here, we advise that you bring your basic necessities, such as food and water during your stay with us. The filtered rain water supplied to the unit is potable. Thank you.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please advise that there may be agricultural noise as we are surrounded by working farms that tend to farm animals. For a well-rested stay, we recommend that guests bring earplugs with them.
Additionally, please note that we have a second tiny house, "Forest Nook Tiny House" that sits on the same property. If you want to book in groups, please contact your land host 24 hrs in advance to make arrangements.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny house and the north fence line around the swings. Also, pick-up (or drop-off) services come at an extra cost and must be pre-arranged with the land host.

- No Wi-Fi
- Bike rental available for $10 per day
- Drinking water is supplied to the unit
- Firewood costs $20 per wheelbarrow load
- We have pet goats roaming on the adjacent paddock
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- No smoking allowed inside/outside the tiny house
- Pick-up (or drop-off) services must be pre-arranged with the host
- Expect that a light easterly wind may make road noise noticeable
- Please be informed that foxes are in the area as well as the property is mostly a bird habitat
- Good signal for Optus, weak signal for Telstra, and no signal at all for Vodafone, 2degrees, and Spark
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
- Mostly, there is barbed wire fencing on the property, so off-leash dogs can wander. Cats are to be contained at all times.
Pets Policy
- Pets are not allowed on beds and sofas, and clean after your pet’s droppings
- Pets are allowed but need to be well-controlled and not able to chase birds, goats, or sheep
- Please clean up after your pet’s shedding before checking out in courtesy of other guests
- Please note that this is a PET-FRIENDLY property, and pet policies will be sent prior to arrival
Farm guidelines
- Always remember to shut the gates before entering and leaving the paddocks
- Please do not enter animal paddocks or yards without the land host's permission
- The pet goats particularly enjoy bread and will come to the front gate when you yell “Here goaty boys!”
Important note:
- Given the rural setting, children are welcome under CLOSE ADULT SUPERVISION
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the [compost/cassette] toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
