This pre-Civil war guest house is more than 200 years old and has been meticulously restored. Located on 355 acres of beautiful land, the guest house offers itself as a serene nature retreat. Inside the house, you will find 3 floors; the bottom floor also serves as a clubhouse for the Pittsburgh Polo Team, and includes a meeting room, bar area, and grand theatre room. The outdoor patio hosts a spectacular sunset view of the pond and woods, perfect for anyone looking for a weekend escape!
The bottom floor also includes the original kitchen that has now been remodeled into a Cigar room with original stone walls and ax cut beams in ceiling. The middle floor has a spectacular living room with wall to wall windows on three sides with vistas of pond, barn, horse arena and the hundreds of acres of woods. The middle floor has a fully equipped office, a bedroom with attached clawfoot tub bathroom that takes you back to the original days. The top floor has four masterfully decorated bedrooms and two full bathrooms.
The house provides access to miles of private trails where you can see deer and turkey run abound, a pond with trout, pike, etc. and a large treehouse in the woods that can sleep 12. There are a number of amenities on the property including: polo horse lessons, trail rides, atv, dirt bike, archery, sporting clays, fishing, etc. All these are guided activities and completely private to just you and your group.
