„its a lovely hotel, fabulous view, comfortable accomodation. the lake walk is pleasant, and the walkway maintained to make it reasonably accessible but not fully pushchair / wheelchair capable. its great that its dog friendly and animals are allowed in and around the place food is very nice, all made to a very high standard. it is pricy but its very pleasant and you dont feel short changed. a good location for a special event. “

„Das Hotel ist zwar ganz nett, das Personal auch, aber leider auch total unflexibel...wir haben auf der gesamten Reise nirgendwo so ein schlechtes Frühstück bekommen wie dort...obwohl wir gesagt hatten, dass wir uns low carb ernähren und gerne nur Spiegeleier zum Frühstück hätten, wurde uns auf einem riesigen Teller ein Ei mit zwei dünnen Scheiben Schinken serviert, es wurde nicht gefragt und auch nicht mehr angeboten. Meine Schwester wollte ca. 30 Minuten vor der "Frühstückszeit" Abreisebedingt ...

„Lovely people and delicious food. Bar was very friendly. Spacious room (#5) and big and comfortable bed. No internet in bedroom (think it was faulty as it showed a signal) but OK in bar. Water pressure in room #5 very poor but clean a pleasant bathroom. No mobile service but that is obviously not The Maypole’s fault!“

„The proprietor was very welcoming, the room was clean and tidy. There was also tea,coffee, biscuits and water available in the room. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. They do not do breakfast but the proprietor recommended places where we could obtain an evening meal with a pint of real ale and also some breakfast the following morning. Would definitely stay there again. “
