„The cottage was Great, a very nice place. We enjoyed indoor and outdoor fires. Had fun in the kayaks and my dog even learned how to ride in the canoe! Only disappointment was no swimming. Water was not good quality. Did catch some small fish, even a couple enuf to have a snack on. Very private setting. Kari was always easy to get answer from too. “

„The owners of the property had great communication. This place was warm & cozy. The location is the best you can get in Manitowish. We could walk to the park, restaurants, get coffee, etc. we have a large pontoon and they had a great pier and access that made things easy. Our family loved it and would recommend this place to anyone. “

„Wendy and Marty know how to host! The usual things one anticipates for rentals were all there but it was the extras that really blew us away. Well stocked kitchen including a crock pot, a Milwaukee Tool radio for our use, and unlimited fire wood are just a few of those extras. It felt like home. Wendy was very responsive and thorough which I appreciated! We booked again for next year which is the highest review I can think of! “

„As far as cleanliness, the property was basically clean. Some stains on carpet and we had to empty the dishwasher from the previous guest. I rated the check-in a "3" because they gave us a code for the keyless entry. Unfortunately, there is something mechanically wrong with the front door lock system and we couldnt get in. Walked around to back and the door was unlocked so that is how we got onto our rental. From there, we had to call the 800 number to tell them the keyless entry lock didn't ...

„W the welcoming calls of loons from crystal clear Grand Portage Lake. What a wonderful stay! The cottage was beautifully appointed. The ample outside spaces provided postcard views. Located close to grocery, downtown restaurants and the Heart of Vilas bike trail head, we could not have enjoyed our stay more and look forward to our visiting again soon.“

„Overall we enjoyed our stay! We loved the view, deck, dock, and fire pit. Armed with bug spray and long sleeves we enjoyed the fire pit a few nights. One person raven slept on one of the futons and thought it was quite comfortable. During our time we fished and paddled. Only negative is the driveway if you are towing a boat, tricky to navigate. Kitchen has all the basics you may need.“

„Needs some deep cleaning and better furniture. House is poorly organized in the living room. Kitchen is stocked well but dry good storage is lacking. Needs more kid friendly glassware and plates. Cobwebs are plentiful. Kayak and canoe were awesome. Did not rent the pontoon. Beds were comfortable and plenty of bedding supplied.“

„We stayed for 3 nights in the beginning of July. The cabin was very nice and very clean. The dock was 30 seconds away from us. I had talked to the owner a couple times before our stay with some questions and he answered quickly and was very friendly. We met the owner and his parents during our stay and they were all incredibly nice and helpful. Couldnt have asked for a more relaxing getaway. We will definitely stay here again.“
