„After a struggling morning and afternoon with rental car we finally got to our little cabin in the woods. When I say what a quiet relaxing environment this cabin offered I'm not exaggerating. We drank our coffee on the porch in the mornings and talked with the donkeys. I named them Fred and Ethel lol. We watched deer , bunnies, birds and chipmunks. „This was the perfect place for our family of four. small and cozy but enough room to be comfortable. The whole place was extremely clean. We pre-made and brought our dinners for the week and it was very easy to just pop them in the oven. We rented a boat for a few days and were able to keep it tied up to the dock which was really nice. The fire pit is beautiful and we enjoyed that, as well as the awesome front porch overlooking the river!“

„Unable to get a hotel room so this was the only alternative. The RV was listed as big enough to sleep 4. Three would have been possible but 4 a stretch and there’s no way 4 people could have taken a hot shower. I got a lukewarm one day one (only in for several minutes) and my son’s was ice cold. Also the place was clean but smelled of stale beer. Also the AC ran constantly even though thermostat was set at 75 degrees. Place was frigid.“

„We were a little intimidated by the drive up in the rain, but once we got to Gobbler Knob things were great! Everything we needed was there, it was comfy and clean and when the rain cleared, the deck was fantastic. The view off the deck was the perfect way to start and end the day and it was an easy drive down to Floyd for entertainment, food and exploring. We loved listening to all the birds around the place.“
