## Emplacement
Camiers is a French commune located in the department of Pas-de-Calais in the region of Hauts-de-France. Its inhabitants are called the Camiérois.
It is composed of the town of Camiers, in the interior, and the seaside resort of Sainte-Cécile-Plage and, to a lesser extent, the beach of Saint-Gabriel, further south.
The beach of Sainte-Cécile is known for the practice of sailing and national and international competitions that take place there.
At the exit of Camiers towards Widehem (by the D148E5), you have a wide panorama in the west direction. In addition to the view of the Channel and the bay of Canche, on a clear day, we can distinguish among others the north of Touquet-Paris-Plage with its lighthouse. The changing light and these landscapes attracted, between the late nineteenth century and the early twentieth century, many painters such as the artistic colony of Étaples.
