We stayed at this rental in July. There were enough bedrooms for all of us & plenty of space due to living areas on all 3 floors. The kitchen is small. If someone has the fridge open, is loading the dishwasher, throwing away trash, or rinsing a dish, you’ll get stuck. It’s really a 1 person kitchen, which makes meals for a family difficult, as people move around/in & out to get a drink or put something in the sink, etc. One thing I think the owners of the property really need to address is the bear situation. Every single night we stayed there, we had bear visitors to the dumpster adjacent to the garage. We ended up not using the outdoor space or having a fire/making s’mores because of the frequent bear activity in the driveway, even during daylight. I think the owner has a responsibility to install bear proof dumpsters to deter them from frequenting the property. There was a lid on the dumpster when we arrived, but it was very simple for the bear to remove it. Most people knowledgeable about bears state that feeding bears, even inadvertently through your trash, is bad for them as they become more emboldened to approach humans. I worry for both guests to the property & the bears. We stayed in July during a heat wave. It was hot. My daughters stayed in the upstairs loft. The owner does provide fans, which is nice. That being said, I might look for a listing that includes air conditioning units for our next summer rental. Sleeping wasn’t always pleasant. The downstairs bedroom was the coolest, but it was also really moist downstairs. I did notice a dehumidifier downstairs but it definitely wasn’t doing the trick. It was musty and had that “basement smell.” So, even though that bedroom was the coolest, we all slept upstairs. I think overall the airflow and hvac (minus the ac part haha) situation could stand to be evaluated. The house was well stocked with towels & the beds were pretty comfortable. The house was clean. There was a bit of trouble with the passes to the community center & some back&forth with the owner before we gained access to the pool, but we did eventually swim. I’m not sure if access to the center will continue to be part of the listing moving forward because it seemed like a bit of a hassle to gain entry. Even after the owner called the center & we arrived with assurances, it was a challenge to get in. I think the woman the owner spoke to was not the same as the woman at the desk that day. We had fun at flume, lost river, etc
