The lofted area can be hazardous for infants and young children; you can move the ladder in the loft to prevent access, if needed.

A quick 8 minute drive will bring you to East Lake Vermillion where there is public access to a beach, fishing docks, restrooms, volleyball court, picnic tables and a shelter.
