Brachvogel Cottage - Wildlife Haven

Willkommen in unserem sauberen und komfortablen Einzelhaus in einem ruhigen tropischen Baumgarten auf einem 7 Hektar großen Grundstück. Das Hotel liegt 5, 2 km vom Zentrum von Cannonvale und 11 km vom Airlie Beach entfernt. In der Umgebung der Unterkunft gibt es viele wild lebende Tiere. Lassen Sie sich vom Gesang der Vogelwelt und der friedlichen Umgebung wecken. Das Cottage bietet ein Kingsize-Bett, ein Bad mit einer einzigartigen Außendusche und Kochmöglichkeiten auf der Veranda.

Amazing stay in an excellent location!
My partner and I stayed here for five nights and had an amazing time! The location is excellent as it’s very quiet and peaceful, yet it is only a 10-15 min drive from the heart of Airlie. The accomodation has everything you could need from a Weber, to an outdoor shower. I highly recommend this stay and will most definitely be returning.

Tranquil and comfortable
We had a lovely relaxing week at Curlew Cottage with our dog. All the little extra touches in the cottage and the snacks in the fridge made it special. Kitchen is really functional, outdoor shower was wonderful even on a cool morning and the bed was so comfy. The mozzies were annoying our first day but everything was provided to deal with them, so not a problem in the end. Only downside was the lack of internet but I think they’re fixing that. It didn’t bother us as we had other options. Thanks to Rhonda and Peter for their hospitality.

Fantastic relaxing rainforest glamping experience.
A charming rainforest setting a 10-15 min drive from Airlie Beach set side and secluded from our hosts' residence. Designed for a couple, a single room with comfortable queen bed, private outdoor shower and well equipped cooking facilities. The fridge contained generous treats on arrival and our hosts were wonderful, helpful people. We thoroughly enjoyed our 10 day stay and would love to return in future.

An Amazing Gem of a Cottage
We had a wonderful 3 nights at Curlew Cottage From the moment we arrived we were welcomed & shown around the cottage by our lovely host Rhonda Every thought has gone into making your stay comfortable. There were even some lovely welcome treats in the fridge which we thoroughly enjoyed especially the icecreams - yummy We loved the outside shower We had our dog with us who had a great time as plenty of room to run for a ball & explore the bush. She was allowed inside the cottage as well so she was happy Thank you Rhonda & Pete for your hospitality & making us feel so welcome We will certainly recommend this beautiful little gem to our friends & will definitely try & come back Glenda & James

Peaceful and relaxing
No hassles, peaceful and relaxing. Quaint little cottage in quiet location with everything we needed. The outdoor shower was fun and refreshing. Spoilt with treats on arrival. Hosts checked on us when the power went out one evening otherwise they left us in peace to do our own thing. We had a kangaroo visit most mornings and evenings, wild but came close enough for us to enjoy watching it. A very pleasant say with lovely hosts. We will be back.

A little Oasis in the Rain Forest
From the moment we arrived we were greeted by Rhonda who goes out of her way to make sure you have everything you need. It was so quiet and peaceful yet sill close to all that Airlie Beach and surrounding areas have to offer. It was great that we could have our dog with us and they accept your fur babies. The host went above and beyond with welcoming us on the first night. Some highlights were margaritas, fresh eggs, mangoes and lychees. The cottage had everything you need for cooking. Our large dog had no problems staying there. Nice and relaxing with a rainforest vibe. Highly recommend.

This is a wonderful place to stay. Quiet to recharge and relax. So nice to wake up in the morning to sounds of nature - a variety of bird calls to welcome the day. Fabulous little B & B
The property is extremely well presented and located close to the owners home but surrounded by large rain forest growth. This layout makes one feel that they are in the middle of a jungle with wonderful nature sounds coming from every direction whilst being close enough for easy communication with the owner if required. The property is amazing with that which is supplied in the way of facilities, household needs, welcoming treats, car parking space and is located within easy reach of Airlie Beach. We required and wanted for nothing and can only recommend this little gem to everyone. The property owner is extremely accomodating and welcoming to ensure your stay is perfect. Lovely tranquil getaway
We had a wonderful relaxing time at Curlew Cottage. Rhonda was such an amazing host and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was one to remember! The location of the cottage is perfect. It’s close to town yet you feel like you’re miles away. The doggies had the best time exploring and checking out the chooks! The only feedback we have is for dog owners - there aren’t any fences around the property. Luckily Rhonda and Pete are animal lovers so we could keep them inside, but maybe you could possibly think about adding a fence just around the cottage area :) Thanks for a wonderful stay, we will definitely be back!

Just what we needed!!
We were instantly in love with the place before we even stepped out of the car! Our very friendly and lovely host Rhonda met us at the cottage & showed us around, apologising for the dryness due to lack of rain. Regardless, our stay was very comfortable & just what we needed at the end of a full on year & we live in the busiest, noisiest street in a small town, so the quiet was so welcome. The cottage is perfect with everything one needs for short or long stays. The location was perfect for us, being between Airlie beach & Proserpine where our father/father-in-law resides in the nursing home. Our dog was also made to feel welcome, and even though there is no fencing, he is not a big wanderer & well trained & behaved so it wasn’t an issue for us or Rhonda & Peter. This was his first holiday with us so a learning curve for us all & a pleasant one :) We were also allowed to take Maxie into the nursing home to visit our Dad which was a big plus. We will definitely be back to stay at the beautiful Curlew Cottage. Thank you so much Rhonda & Pete for your wonderful hospitality.
