Beautiful Victorian Whole House Rental! Empress of Cape May

Proudly Introducing "The Empress" to guests for the first time! Beautifully restored Grand Victorian home is the Gem of Cape May. The Empress features 8 suites, beautiful porches for outdoor gathering, large parlor, living room, and dining room. Absolute BEST location in town, 2 blocks to beach and Congress Hall, 1 block to Jackson St, and steps to the Washington Mall. Theater and separate entertainment area in the basement perfect for large groups or kids! Unrivaled Parking for 8 cars!

The Empress is available as a year round vacation rental. Please note*** Most Weekends are 3 night minimum, with some exceptions and we do not break up Friday/Saturday nights. There is a 7 night minimum in the summer months between mid June and mid September. During those summer weeks our check in/checkout is on Friday only ***

We include all bed linens and bath towels with our home, and as a result we have very specific checkout procedures that must be followed in order to successfully complete the turnover for our next incoming guests. Immediately upon booking we will send you those instructions and all of the house information regarding the movie theatre, music system throughout the house, etc. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Fantastic New Years Getaway
We had the most amazing time at the Empress! The house has all the charm and more in person as it does in the photos. The character of the house and all the details added to the vibe of the trip and the space was perfect for four families of four. The location is incredible, right downtown with access to shops, restaurants and arcade! Huge thank you to Jason the host who was so easy to work with and very responsive!

The Empress was fabulous! Eight ladies (princesses all), eight lovely en suite bedrooms as promised. Plenty of room for gathering and the shortest of walks to both town and the beach. Empressive!

AMAZING
We actually used this as a wedding weekend venue. We got married in November this year and had all of our family and friends stay with us, since we had a micro wedding. Everyone had their own rooms and each room had its own bathroom, so it is the perfect set up for people who may not know each other. The men loved the movie theater and played all the big games of the weekend. Jason was super responsive and answered all my questions. The house is so unique that I know our guests were in awe and will talk about it for years to come.

Something for everyone
This is an amazing vacation rental sure to please everyone. It is beautifully decorated while still being quite comfortable. The location couldn’t be more convenient, in the midst of shopping, dining, and a block to the ocean. The house is clean, the kitchen is well stocked, and we truly appreciated that linens were provided. After a full day at the beach, the kids enjoyed the theater while the adults relaxed on the lovely porch. We had a wonderful and memorable stay at The Empress and would not hesitate to return.

The perfect bachelorette weekend!!!
Stayed here with 15 of my best gals for my cat themed bachelorette party and it was just incredible!!!! The house was out of this world. Would 10000% stay here again. This was a family get together to enjoy the beautiful town of Cape May during the holiday season. I saw the Empress while on a spring girls trip and took a picture of the sign to remember it. Best decision I made. This home is restored with nothing held back. Beyond beautiful. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer.

Beautiful Victorian Home
We were a large group of older adults (youngest 55) who rented the whole property. There are eight bedrooms, and each has its own bathroom (plus a powder room on the main floor). While the kitchen is on the smaller side, it still worked because it had an island, and a large closet for storing some big items (like extra rolls of paper towels, toilet paper, etc.). The owner was responsive. There are two washers, dryers, and dishwashers. The location is stellar. We could walk to many restaurants, the beach, Revolution Railroad, and the main shopping area in town. It was just a short drive (Uber available) away from breweries, wineries, and Wildwood boardwalk. With all VRBO or home rentals, it is wise to purchase damage insurance just in case there is an accident in the home. Our stay was such fun. There is a big dining room area that opens into two sitting areas, which was perfect for lots of chatting. One of my personal favorite parts was the Sonos music that we were able to play through the entire downstairs (and upstairs) of the home. It was a memorable trip that we all enjoyed.

One of a kind place to stay
This home was amazing and perfect for our large and growing family. My husband and I have 7 children. Six of our children are married and four of them have children of their own, 8 in all. Since the home had 8 gorgeously furnished bedrooms, each family could have their own bedroom and bathroom, with even two bathrooms to spare! We loved the theater room. It was unlike anything we had seen before. We made movie tickets for the kids and popcorn was handed out upon entering. It was the real deal! Jason was easy to reach, great to work with and we could tell he wanted us to enjoy our week stay. We could even easily watch the 4th of July fireworks from the front porch. The house is a show stopper as it is situated in the historic section of town. We could walk to shops quickly because they were very close by, as we did many days, to get ice cream in the evening, or cappuccinos and danish in the morning. We are very thankful that we had the privilege of staying at ‘The Empress’!
