Local area: Within 10 minutes walk of Villa Limonero is a selection of local shops a small supermarket/ bars/restaurants and miles of fantastic unspoilt BEACH. Beach and activities: Nuevo Portil beach is very suitable for young children, as the Fleche del Rompido, protects the beach from the high winds and rough currents of the Atlantic ocean. The beach stretches for 14Km and is backed by juniper woods and sand dunes.
The vast woodland is very popular for activity tourism like rambling, cycling and horse riding. Bike hire and Horse riding are is available locally per hour, half day or all day.
On the road into Cartaya you will also find the Kartodromo de Cartaya (Carting track) open year round and the very popular Aquopolis (water park) which opens normally the middle of June until first week in September.
