“The Lodge” is a rustic retreat with open floor plan and natural light. Located between Austin and Bastrop with easy access to multiple nature experiences, Wolf Dancer golf course, COTA, and The Cedar Bend. Fully equipped kitchen and outside Blackstone for grilling makes meals easy and enjoyable. A large common area with a wood burning fireplace and large leather couch is a great place to relax and enjoy each others company. There are plenty of boardgames and even a guitar. Outside has relaxing seating areas, cornhole, washers and a firepit. Enjoy birdwatching through one of the many windows and the local wildlife. The Lodge is the perfect location if you're attending an event at The Cedar Bend or the wedding party that is wishing for time together.
The Lodge has central HVAC, large limestone wood fireplace, 50" Smart TV, wireless internet, dishwasher, electric range, microwave, standard coffee maker (coffee provided), K-Cup coffee maker. Washer and dryer with detergent. Full bathrooms have plenty of towels, hair dryer, flat iron and curling iron.

Comfortable House in a Great Location
We enjoyed our stay at this property. It was close to COTA, easy to find, and comfortable for a group of 6. We liked the patio and the large dining table, to be able to have dinners together. The kitchen was well stocked with the necessities. Thanks for having us!

Lost Pines Resort Wedding
It was great for our family to stay in the house, as it was so close to the wedding venue at Lost Pines Resort. Also our 96 year old Mother was very comfortable in the lower bedroom where she could control her own AC. We had a ball playing darts outside and games inside at night. Great place to stay as a family.

Something for Everyone
From the time of booking till we left, the owner was always available. They also put a lot of time and effort into ensuring guests are comfortable and feel like it is a home away from home. The kids enjoyed the outdoors as well as the adults, who spent time playing darts and corn hole. The beds were very comfortable, and the house was set perfectly to accommodate families.

Nice stay
Overall, it was a nice place. The location was perfect (in between Austin and Bastrop) and the grounds were beautiful. The bed in the flex room wasn’t comfortable- it dips in the middle so if there’s 2 people on it, you roll towards the center. My husband and I ended up sleeping on the couch due to this. The pillows provided were very flat as well. Otherwise, it was a cozy home and we were comfortable.

The house is exactly how it is in the photos. It was a group of 8 and we felt great being around the house and arranging who would stay where. The location is perfect as well because there are several stores not too far away. Lovely Place to Stay
We loved the property and had a fantastic time. We used the property to house ourselves and some of our wedding party for our big day next door at The Cedar Bend. Only issue we had was with the upstairs shower. It was EXTREMELY had to turn off and on! You could hardly change the temp as well. Between myself and 2 other people we wasted so much time trying to adjust/turn it off. The owner didn’t get back to us regarding the issue until the next day. Glad we didn’t flood the place and ended up finding a sweet spot before then. The property should take the time to replace the hardware in this bathroom. Don’t let this shower issue deter you though! We very much so enjoyed our stay!

Daughter's Wedding Weekend At Cedar Bend
The house was perfect in many ways. Stocked with so many things that we did need or could have needed in comparison to other places we have rented. We hosted a small group of people that attended the rehearsal at Cedar Bend. Plenty of outside seating, firepit, smores sticks for the kids, yard games. Everyone was so thankful that we found this mutual location to be able to spend a few hours together. It was a great place to unwind for the night after a day of traveling and getting to Texas before our Daughter's big day. Just my husband and I stayed over night through the duration of our stay but it very well could have accommodated more people if necessary.

We booked for our family to have a place to stay for our family reunion at Bastrop state park. We are a family of 7 and my parents also stayed at the house with us and we were all comfortable & did not feel cramped or crowded. Owner was very clear with communication & our stay was great. The house was within a short distance to the Austin airport and the state park. Overall very happy with our stay.

Lovely remote getaway.
We had a great stay here while visiting Sherwood Forest. The outdoor patio with games was a great spot to unwind at the end of the day, the fast internet worked great, and the house is furnished with everything we needed. The only downside that I can think of is the wedding venue a property or two over, it could get quite loud, but it never ends past midnight and we personally enjoyed hearing all the happy people dancing and enjoying the festivities with their loved ones.

Wedding Bliss
The property is next door to the wedding venue and you couldn't ask for more convenience. The covered back porch and fire pit were the perfect way to unwind. The house was immaculately clean and the amenities were great. The layout of the home is great for accommodating the guests and everyone had a perfect privacy. The beds were super comfy and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals. The hosts were A+ and super responsive to any questions we had. Highly recommend both the wedding venue and this house rental as they compliment each other in quality & location.

Perfect for the weekend
