Lake House with Sweeping Views of Winnipesaukee

We have a beautiful newly renovated 5 bedroom vacation home in Center Harbor (between Lake Winnipesaukee and Squam Lake) available for the summer weeks, as well as for non-summer weekends and long-term rentals. We just finished completely rehabbing the interior, so everything is new. The house directly overlooks Center Harbor Village on one side and is just steps from Lake Winnipesaukee on the other side. The house has sweeping views of the Lake. It comfortably sleeps 12 people and is large enough for 2 (possibly 3) families vacationing together.

Our home is just a short distance to everything you need for a memorable vacation:

– a public beach, basketball court and playground a couple minutes’ walk away
– great restaurants within walking distance
– ice cream stand across the street
– kayaking rental business next door
– neighborhood retail (e.g., coffee shop, arts & crafts store, supermarket, liquor store, hardware store – all walking distance)
– the Lake!

The house has cable television, two HDTVs, WiFi, gas grill, ceiling fans throughout, washer/dryer, linens, beach chairs, beach towels

Please note that the house does not come with a dock, but there is a boat launch about a 1 minute walk away

This house was perfect for us. Plenty of beds and bathrooms. Dining room table was perfect for playing games. Easy walk to restaurants. The view was awesome! We are looking forward to our next visit.

Nicely renovated home with a view of the Lake
This house met our needs for bedrooms and bathrooms. Overall the location was convenient to restaurants, grocery store and proximity to Lake Winnipesaukee area activities including walking distance to the town beach. We were disappointed that yard games such as corn hole although listed in the VRBO description was not available as well as darts for the dart board. The garage was not conducive for anyone to hangout in but provided ample room to store our bikes when not being used.

Lots of Room
House was in walking distance to Market, Liquor Store, Ice cream, Beer Garden and Beach. Bedrooms were huge and 3 full baths made it easier with having a bunch of girls. The kitchen was big and great for entertaining especially when the weather didn’t cooperate. We would definitely rent it again.

Beautiful home
The home itself was beautiful and the kitchen island was perfect for playing games. Location was great for restaurants, shops, etc..The bathroom floors could have been a little cleaner behind the doors. Also, the Roku kept overheating and we lost access to it a few times. In fairness to the owner, we didn’t alert him to those issues so he was not given the opportunity to address them. The bigger disappointment was the overgrowth around the house. Weeds/vines blocked the stairs to the front porch. They were also growing high in front of the windows, including impeding the view of the water. I did contact the owner about that issue. He did respond quickly. He later said his landscaper had not responded to him but that was the end of it. We had to remove large weeds ourselves. Also, I would not call it a sweeping view of the water. The view to the left is blocked by trees and to the right are unpleasant commercial buildings/structures. The view you get is basically what is in the picture, which is beautiful, but certainly not sweeping. Also, there were boats still stored on the property between the house and the lake which hampered the view. In fairness to the owner, my understanding is that it is not his property so he has no control over it. Overall, it is a lovely home, in a good location, and we enjoyed our vacation. I just wish the view was more "sweeping" and that the outside of the house was better maintained.
