Bring your Pup(s) to the Hygge Hut! 🐾.. dog friendly, Ski, SnowBoard, SnowShoe, Golf, Swim, Hike, Ride, Shop, Relax…..Repeat!

Perfect relaxing weekend retreat for the pups, couples, a small family, a friends getaway with ski/board, golfing, hiking, swimming, boating, tubing, shopping and relaxing all within walking distance or just a short drive away! Plenty of parking at our house for motorcycles/ski mobiles/ trailer in our driveway and beautiful rides thru the mountains!

Our inviting and essentially designed A-Frame has an open concept hygge Scandinavian style located at Ossipee Lake Area on the 17th hole with sweeping views of the Golf course and minutes to several Ski mountains, NH state parks, hiking and cross country ski trails. Snowshoe right out the back door !

The Hygge Hut has 2 bedrooms (sleeps 4) and has a relaxed cozy vibe! The house is an A frame style so the primary bedroom and living area are not large but very relaxing! Located directly on the 17th hole of the Indian Mound Golf Course (public course) with lots to do and walking (mins) to beautiful Ossipee Lake for swimming, fishing, boating, jet skiing, star gazing. Short drive to many hiking trails, NH state parks and the White Mountains for skiing, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, snow tubing and snow mobile adventures! Book your tee time, enjoy a golf weekend with friends, a romantic getaway, shopping at the NH outlets, an outdoor adventure weekend or just relax on the deck at the Hygge Hut! Stay Cozy!!

Additional information: check in time is 4pm and check out is 10am. There is a $100 pet fee/ per pet/stay and pet(s) must be approved by owner in advance of stay. No parties, weddings or events onsite and 4 occupants maximum (Additional children considered). There is a 100% no smoking/vaping policy on or near the property including the back deck or your entire deposit will be forfeited. There are ring cameras at front and back doors for security. Please inform us of any additional guests staying over (there is an extra charge) and the max is 4 occupants unless previously requested and approved for additional guests. Loved it.
We really enjoyed our stay here. This is definitely a tiny home and the back patio could use a little love but overall well worth it. There is a small toaster oven, microwave, and refrigerator available, if you need it. There are blankets throughout the home. I really did enjoy sipping my morning coffee on the back patio watching the golfers as the view was great. Easy access to the main road. We would definitely stay here again.

Cozy family getaway
We had a wonderful time at this cozy A-Frame! My daughters loved the loft bedroom upstairs. Perfect for a family of 4! Our two dogs felt right at home as well! If it wasn’t winter I could imagine the back porch would’ve been amazing to sit & have coffee in the AM. Great location next to all restaurants & the lake. We spent time visiting with friends near by for the new year & it was super close & convenient. Would highly recommend this to a couple or small family. Thank you!

Such a happy place to stay
This house was perfect for a family get away to relax. It was just the end of fall so there was a little snow on the ground and the golf course was closed, which was great for us to go walking and for our little dog to run around. The house is very well designed with everything you need.

This house was great! Super cute design and decor. Great location to Wolfeboro (20 minute drive). There was private access to Lake Ossipee but a little drive from the house and not our preference for the type of access for swimming - more a spot to enjoy the scenery and have a picnic.

Tiny A-frame on a busy road
We were getting married in a day and a half after arrival and were disappointed to find the cute A-frame depicted in the photos ( definitely very cute) was a tiny A-frame on a BUSY road, directly across from a boat garage. We were immediately contacted by the host (cameras everywhere!!) asking how many dogs we brought. We had booked for two and a small third dog belonging to my daughter ( my bridesmaid) had to come along last mto pet sitter canceling that very morning. We let the host know the situation, and let her know we could ask my parents to watch him and she did not say this would be needed, nor let us know there would be an additional 100 fee, and ignored my question, leading us to believe there was no issue. She checked in with us as she was clearly watching us on the cameras, and I felt uncomfortable with this, despite the acknowledgement in the listing that there were cameras set up. The space had NOT ONE SINGLE SPACE to hang anything, and we had a tuxedo, wedding dress and bridesmaid's gown to hang. It was not until we were cleaning under the beds that we discovered several drawers under the tiny full-sized Master bed. The master bedroom is tiny but it would accommodate a larger bed. The mattress was nice but sharing it is not uncomfortable. The Loft area is cute but nowhere to hang/ store ANYTHING. A dresser with a small space to hang a few items should be added in the loft, as there is room for it. Unsure why this simple piece of furniture is missing but it is definitely needed. Because it's a smal A-frame the walls lead you to duck sidewaysunless you are in the middle of the house. The kitchen is so tiny and there is NOcooking ability. There's a hot plate and we wanted to make a little pasta, but there's no strainer or pot so we used a frying pan to cook the pasta. We were married on August 14th and stayed until the 17th. Upon our 10:00 a.m. check out, we were struggling to add floral arrangements and gifts into our already packed car, which took extra time. We were able to clean all of the dishes and refrigerator, put the dishes away and check to make sure the home was ready to be cleaned ( by the cleaning service which is included in the overpriced listing). According to the owner, the cleaning service supposedly came by the home as we were getting prepared to leave and charged her a fee which was 100 on top of the 75 fee. She claimed we left dog hair/ dog slime on the cheap Wal-Mart futon but we covered it with a blanket!

Now we want an A frame house with lake access…
This was perfect for the weekend getaway my husband and I were hoping for. It made all the difference in the world to have our puppies with us- they loved the ease of the back porch and deck all with the added bonus of watching all the golfers as they passed by. We happened to catch some beautiful sunsets mixed with passing thunderstorms during our stay. The lake access was lovely- about a mile up the road, with lots of sand, picnic tables and more area on the lake to explore than I ever imagined without access to a boat. You gazed right at the mountain right across the lake. For those who love to hike, incredible trails were on every side (we enjoyed Sentinel and Whiteface Mountain trails during our stay- both around 2 miles and just the right challenge for a couple 40 year olds wanting to tire out their pups and take in a stunning summit but not too far away). Food was easy to find (we really enjoyed the local Mountainview Station 1.5 miles away, then also Wolfetrap Grill and Rawbar right on lake Winnipesaukee about 20 minutes away). Aroma Joes was great for coffee in the morning (drive through and only 4 miles away). As far as the house, it’s just as charming and clean as it looks in the pictures. Everything in the house was comfortable, we loved the mattresses (our backs just can’t hack an old mattress anymore). The host was really helpful, friendly and available if needed. We loved the welcome snacks and wine after a long drive in. Thank you for such a lovely stay!

Perfect getaway at the Hygge Hut!
The Hygge Hut was just what we needed for our weekend getaway. The house was very clean and beautifully decorated. It’s also in a perfect location to enjoy some peace and quite, just minutes away from the lake where you get to enjoy the beautiful scenic views of the mountains. The host was very attentive and thoughtful with every detail, and even ensured that our pup felt welcomed at the Hygge. Our pup fell in love with the freedom he had watching the golf carts pass by. We cannot wait to return again!

The perfect getaway!
We spent 3 nights at Hygge Hut with our dog and it was terrific! The location is perfect for hiking, swimming, and great restaurants. We took the dog to the lake several times and also found some dog friendly swimming holes on the Saco. The golf course is super fun (even for beginner golfers like my daughter and me).. Lisa was a warm and wonderful host. She gave us great restaurant ideas and gave us some of her handmade soap to bring home to NJ. We can't wait to return!

Cozy Ossipee A-Framw
Super easy experience. Stayed two nights with good friends for a wedding in Ossipee. A-frame is right off 16 and on the Indian Mound Golf Course. Very dog friendly location. Small, but exactly what we expected.
