The hotel is in a remote area, only useful to commuters using the Oattaravakkam suburban station.After checking in we found there were no cupboards, table, chair or any piece of furniture other than a steel cot!! Our bags had to be kept on the floor. No soaps or anything in the bathroom.And there is no restaurant or coffeshoo or any such thing in the hotel.Aftervabout 2 hours the reception guy told us that the rooms had been booked by someone else. We told him we had booked the rooms through Expedia, and showed him the confirmation and the payment proof. But he said they don't have a tie up with Fab express, and sho we have to leave. I told him we had booked the rooms through Expedia and not through Fab. I told him we would vacate if they gave the money back. He wouldn't give our money back. So I told him to go to hell and went tomy room. I told him I would not move out until my check out time the next day. It later turned out that a wedding party asked for 12 and they needed our 2 rooms too . It was rare to get somebody to take 12 rooms, so they didn't want to let it go. I told him I would make a police complaint for cheating for not giving the rooms after taking money for them. When I stood firm the hotel people came down, and did not disturb me after that .
This was one of the worst experiences in my life, although I have stayed in numerous hotels across India and abroad. Expedia should not associate with such shady characters in business, or your reputation would suffer.
